A - Nice slightly darker than straw, with a white head served in a tall pilsner glass.
S - Slightly bready, with aromatic noble hops notes.
T - nice and crisp, with grainy notes and bready biscuity notes. Clean german lager taste, with very nice Saaz hops.
M - Soft mouthfeel, and silky on the tounge. Good level of carbonation.
D - Easily drinkable german lager, with crisp and refreshing flavor profiles. A nice sessionable dortmunder.

This was my official beer of the 2009 NHL Playoffs!
It came with a full finger of bone-white head with excellent retention. Color was a deep golden-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Nose was mildly sweet with a slight breadiness. Mouthfeel was smooth and silky with a pleasant lager sweetness on the tongue. Finish had a good hop bite. Drinkable? Sessionable!

Poured a clear golden yellow with 2 fingers of foamy white head into a mug club mug. Good retention left some lacing behind. Smells of fruits and floral hops, citrus, biscuits, and honey. Tastes of biscuit, toasted grain, light caramel, grapes, apricot, and lemon. Medium in body with nice full poppy carbonation. Smooth and sweet with a crisp and slightly dry finish. Very easy to drink, quite sessionable and refreshing.

Take this review with a grain of salt. I've just recently turned my attention to lagers, so this review is written with a newbie's enthusiasm.
a: This was a mostly clear golden yellow. It was served to me with a fizzy white cap that faded to moderate lace.
s: Toasty, biscuity grains and spicy apricot hops.
t: Strangely, I think I tasted grape Kool-Aid a couple of times. Anyway, this was dry overall, and quite refreshing. Sweet, biscuity grains with a little grape flavor and hops that tasted of floral apricots.
m: Surprisingly full bodied with long lasting fizzy carbonation.
d: As I said, I'm relatively new to lagers, well, my open mindedness is new anyway. I could drink this one all day.

On tap at the brewpub on 2/16/09. Served in an over sized Mugger mug.
Pours a clear gold with a thin head fizzy of brite-white foam. This hangs around the edges, and creams up some when swirled, leaving decent lacing back that quickly slides down the sides of the mug. The aroma possesses a deep tangy sweetness with some light breadiness and a healthy amount of floral hops and residual citric notes.
The taste is similar and comes off as a little more even to me than the aroma did. Caramel sweetness and toasted bready bisquits that are well balanced by an assertive bitterness in the back. The finish is somewhat clean with a steady dryness that slowly creeps over the tongue. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a firm carbonation and overall pretty snappy feel in the mouth.
Not bad. This came off as a little overly sweet at times and the finish wasn't quite as clean as I would expect for the style but I'm just nitpicking. This had a pretty flavorful profile and went down nicely with my meal.

I had this on tap at the brewpub in Lancaster served chilled in a tall pils glass.
A - The lager is brilliant with dark golden/slightly darker than straw color w/ great clarity. A nice snowy cap of two fingers settle to about the height of a dime on its side
S - The scent is a mix of pils malt and cherry like sweet notes with herball hops
M- the feel is slightly dry and crisp with moderate carbonation and gentle grainy sweet malt textures. A mild hop spice in the finish accents the medium body
T - The flavor is lightly grainy and has a sweet tip with subtle dry malt notes. There is a noble hop spiciness that balances with the malt and carbonation very nicely the light german lager yeast accents the taste that leads to a dry finish
D - This is an excellent lager w/ a good flavor and authentic German influence is noted in the ingredients. This went well with my southwest burger and it cut the greasiness very easily. The spice of the hops blended with the pepper-jack cheese and ancho mayo. I could session this easily and am continually impressed by the quality of German style lagers at the Lancaster location of Iron HIll.
