this was called yule tide at the wilmington brewery and was casked with coffe beans and maple syrup. listed at over 7% abv the cask must have made it a bit stronger. served in an english pint glass with a cinnamon sugar rim. beautiful presentation. smells like cinnamon first, spoiled slightly by the rim, but complex flavors migle through. coffee, winter spice, maple sugar, honey, and hops synergize to create one of the most unique and enjoyable winter warmers ive ever had. the mouthfeel from the cask was excellent, and it let all the flavors be digested one by one. this was a fantastic beer.

Poured from tap into pint glass in January 2022. I drank the beer at the Iron Hill Brewery's Ardmore restaurant.
Appearance: Red-brown with a light tan head. Head was about 2 fingers high, and lasted a minute. It left only a little lacing on the glass, and ended with a thin tan head still on the beer.
Smell: Sweet aroma of caramel, and chocolate.
Taste: There is a strong malt flavors, with nice cinnamon and ginger flavors. I also taste some chocolate and licorice flavors. The cinnamon and sugar on the rim of the glass, makes this a very sweet drink. I may prefer this without the addition of the cinnamon on the glass.
Mouth-feel: Medium body, but also smooth. It has a little edge for a winter ale.
This is a good Winter Ale, and I enjoyed the variety of flavors. It is sweet but also has a little hoppy bitterness for balance. I had a couple pints of this at the brewery, and would buy this again.

A bit too much coffee/stout flavor at the end; pretty good otherwise
