Medium-bodied red ale with distinct hop character and a touch of caramel sweetness. Served on nitrogen for a creamy mouthfulmouthfeel.

Served on-tap at the Lancaster brewpub.

A: The red ale is, well, a dark copper color that retains is translucence. A finger of white head lasts for most of the ale, leaving thick strata of lace behind.

S: The nose is dominated by toasted caramel malts. A sweetness runs through the nose, fortified by the malts.

T: Mmmm, malty. The red ale doesn't skimp on the caramel side, thick and filling. Toasted bread matches the caramel, accentuating the malt bill. Hop are an afterthought, content to hide behind the thci malts.

M: Alefruits match the toasted flavors, sweet and dry overall. I'd take this as my St. Patty's Day beer any time.

D: The abv seems moderate, enough to stand out but not too much to overpower the ale. Nice to see a red ale over a dry stout...
