A desent beer.
Smelled of bananas and faint hops.
It tasted like a banana foster. Yeasty esters gave this beer a big dose of bananas. Normally in wheat beers I get clove, which was present, but was dominated by banana. I didn't really notice any hop taste but it was semi bitter at the finish.
Looked slightly hazy with a desent size head and spotty lacing.

A: Poured a muted orange with hints of lemon peel highlights. Hazy with no light being fused through the body while a frothy pure white head, about a finger high, sits atop for a brief minute or two. A decent foamy band, about ½ inch thick encompasses the glass for a lacing.
S: The aromatic appeal was quite pleasing. Spicy with fresh citrus tones mixed with a tropical fruitiness of mangos, pineapples, and peaches. The strength was more then ample to deliver a solid experience.
T: The flavor was similar to the nose, spicy with a defined fruitiness of mangos, pineapples and citrus tones all blending nicely together in an effortless seam. Soft wheat tones, vague hints of bananas, along with an appreciable dry american citrusy hopping and dried fruitiness ensures on the finish. Overall was clean, well balanced and very smooth flavor wise.
M: Nice crisp hold, generous amount of carbonation provides a sharp and well defined presence with a medium-full body.
D: Drinkability was of crisp and refreshing quality that would make for a good summertime quencher. Growler worthy. Low abv of 4.2% ensures a good canidate for session material.

On-tap at the Newark brewpub. Served in a pint glass, the beer was a clear amber with a short white head. The flavor kicked off with typical Bavarian wheat beer spices: clove and banana. And after the initial wheat malt and yeast character, the American hops jumped in with bitter grapefruit and pine flavors. Very tasty and a great blending of IPA and hefe styles. If you've tried and enjoyed the Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse, this is like a lighter-alcohol version. A great beer for anyone that loves wheat beers and hops.

West Chester's Iron Hill recently has been pouring hopped-up version of their delicious hefeweizen. It is a noble attempt, but not hitting the mark. The overwhelming pine and grapefruit twinge of the excess hops really cuts into the fragency of the yeasty carbonation...lots of sweet pine alcohol in the back of the throat.

Soooo this beer tastes neither hoppy nor wheaty.
Poured the nice flowing foamin cask pour.
Moderate head and lacing with a fairly neutral smell.
Taste is yeasty, creamy and overall downright bland.
Fairly disappointing as it is billed as an "uber hoppy" wheat.

On tap at West Chester.
A-Pours a cloudy, unfiltered gold with a foamy white head and very good lacing.
S-Classic hefeweizen aromas of banana and clove, with a nice Belgian yeast and peppery hops.
T-Nicely grainy and yeasty in the front, complemented by a strong banana finish mixed with assertive peppery hops.
M-Smooth and creamy, just a but dry.
D-A really good classic hefeweizen, accented nicely with the hop additions. A great summer beer.
