On tap at the Lancaster location. This brew pours a dark brown to black color with a tan frothy cap that retain well. There is some ruby to lighter brown clarity noted around the edges when held to the light.
The smell is pungent with a coffee-like scent from the chicory. There is a pleasant malt roastiness accenting the coffee scent that hints a little towards dark chocolate and a bit of a nutty aspect. There is a bit of a citrus inclusion towards the back as it warms up.
The taste is earthy with a chicory induced coffee flavor. A bit of citrus is noted along with the roasted aspect of the grain. The level of the toast provides a mild bitterness just like strong coffee/unsweetened chocolate. There is a touch of mineral aspect across the finish.
This is a medium bodied brew with a modest level of carbonation. It is easy drinking but the Belgian aspect of this is quite hidden. If it wasn't for the name of this brew, I wouldn't have been able to tell this apart from any normal chicory or coffee based stout.

a: This was very dark but not quite black. It poured with a small but firm white head.
s: Gentle coffe like chicory, fruity Belgian yeast, and some nice roastiness to tie it all together.
t: I really like the balance that is struck here. This is a sraight up roasty stout at first. Then I nice hit of coffee before the tangy, fruit finish from the Belgian yeast.
m: Big bodied and creamy.
o: A very well put together beer. All elements are well represented and very harmonious. Two of us polished off the growler no problem. This was pretty close to exactly what I hoped it would be.

On tap at IH Lancaster.
Pours a ruby tinged dark brown with a thin tan head that settles into a thin ring with minimal lace. Sweet aroma of Belgian yeast, semisweet coffee, dark fruit and light roast. Flavor starts with coffee like flavors from the chicory, fruit from the yeast and finishes with light roast malt. Well carbonated, medium Belgian-like body, slightly thin in the finish.

A dark ale brewed with Chicory and Belgian yeast. On-tap at Lancaster.
A: The Belgian stout is nice and dark, a visual match for the American porter sitting beside it. A tan head, very thin, came with the glass but didn't last long.
S: The yeast adds fruits, pears and grapes, to the darker roasted stout base. Chicory lends a semi-sweet coffee aroma. Of the aspects in the ale, the Belgian yeast is, I believe, stronger than the chicory.
T: The chicory lends more of a coffee flavor in the nose, a semi-bitter flavor that nicely resembles coffee. The Belgian yeast also continues its assault, bringing fleshy fruits to the party. Once there, they run into the darker, roasted malts of the stout. It's no DFH Chicory Stout, and that's what I was looking for.
M: The mouthfeel is Belgian, fruity against the stark stout flavors. A bit of coffee freshness is there to brighten things up.
