Phightin' Phils Pils dry hopped prodigiously with Citra. At Lancaster.

A: The pils is a golden straw color, light and transparent with, I swear, a bit of a green hue. The green isn't kelly green, just a very light tint. A thick white head. nearly a finger, comes with the glass.

S: Citra brings rich orange hops, citrus with a pulpy sweetness. The American hops completely overwhelm the noble hops in the original. The result is light biscuits against the big orange presence.

T: A pils with plenty of American hops, what's there not to like (other than the name, I'm no Phillies fan). The citra leaps out of the glass immediately, plenty of orange zest cutting through the pils. The beer is still dry, not as crisp though with the noble hops out of the way. Light biscuits help to showcase the citra - not a hop bomb but the dry hopping really stands out. A very enjoyable version - citra adds a great deal of depth.

M: The clean hops, aided by a citra infusion, are light but delicious. The pils remains dry even with the new fruity addition. I worked through it rather quickly.
