Serving type: 500 ml bottle. There are cryptic notches on the back label but nothing discernable as a freshness date.
Appearance: Poured into a pilsner glass. The color is light lemonade with a little haze. Two fingers of thick, eggshell-colored foam dissipated slowly to leave a frothy cap and trails along the glass.
Smell: Light malts, grassy hops, a touch of lemon. It is pretty standard. There is a very subtle skunkiness but it is well hidden.
Taste: The mouthfeel is pretty dry and the grassy hops offer a nice, bitter bite. Pale malts and a little lemon round it out. The overall effect is a grassy crispness.
Drinkability: It is a classic pilsner. Crisp, tasty, and clean.

It is not as bitter as a northern German pilsner but leaves a distinct strong taste. The bitter sweet taste lingers on for a ver longtime , it is definitely one of the better pilsners that I have tasted.

Bottle label data: A notched '2' and 'A' are on the back label (but I have no idea what they signify).
Light, soft golden yellow hue to the body with lively, small carbonation bubbles and a lasting, thick, frothy, white head; sticky sheets of foam coat the entire glass. Crisp, mild grain aroma with a fresh, spicy hop aroma. Well-balanced mixture of subtle grainy flavors with a light yet suitable touch of hop bitterness. Medium bodied; crisp, clean, and dry finish.
An outstanding example of a classic beer style. The mixture of malts and hops come across with nice, understated depth of flavor and mouthfeel. There is a nice herbal, almost peppery hop zing that nicely complements soft and earthy malt tones. Easy drinking and quite delicious!

I was really looking forward to a crisp pilsner, but turns out I got a skunked bottle. It pours a beautiful straw color, with about a two-finger head. And the mouthfeel is just what you would expect- light and crisp. But I can't comment on the aroma and taste fairly.

On tap at Gourmet Haus Staudt.
Pale gold with the slightest haziness. The head is dense, two fingers high and lasting.
Really nice bright hop aroma, grassy and lemony, backed by lightly sulfurous lager yeast and crackery pils malt.
Palate is great, crackery and crisp with a pleasant hint of diacetyl up front that transitions into flavors of bready pils malt. Leafy, grassy and herbal hop flavors take over in the dry but mildly bitter finish. There are lingering mineral notes that meld nicely with the noble hop flavors.
