Went here on my recent trip to Vegas. Located in the New York New york this little beer bar was a very nice Old style Irish pub. Overall it is a neat little place with a cool atmosphere and with live music and people dancing provides a very fun an laid back evivironment. Where they reall lack is in the selection with only about 5 beers on tap and maybe 20 or 25 more in bottles there isn't muchj to choose from and are a bit expensive even for Vegas's standards. The next time you are in the area it warrents a visit, but this in not one I would break my neck to get to again.

Rather cheesy Irish pub in New York New York. Cliche rowdy Irish bar music, and Guinness vibes calling to the bros and middle aged folk that long to be more than 10% Irish. A decent Guinness pour though. Bring some money.

I've been to Vegas quite a few times. Matter of fact, I got married there. This place is a must stop for me each time I go. The atmosphere is what I would assume is Irish style pub (though I've never been to Ireland). But it gets it's point across. The food is good, but not great for Vegas. Don't get me wrong, it's delicious. But I would expect a little more from a Vegas restaurant. The waiters/waitresses give there best Irish accent while serving you which is pretty cool.

I like how the downstairs seating is. Even though the tables are close, each is kinda private because of short walls and booth angles. The upstairs is a little more open. At night, a band usually plays. Of course... Irish music. Really adds to the experience. All in all, a fun place to go. Plus they serve Smithwicks on draft. Delicious.

I don't normally do Irish bars (anywhere in the world), but it was happy hour (15.00-18.00) and we were thirsty. I was pleasantly suprised with what I found inside, it was cool and slot free!

We sat close to where the bands play, but it was quiet during the afternoon. We were surrounded by artifacts and stuff. Above the main bar was positioned a false pulpit and above that, each in his own alcove sat the busts of the 'Nine fine Irishmen'. The whole place is tastefully done, if a little 'over the top, Irish'. The tables are tightly packed, but outside there is a lot more room with a larger table as well as a selection of smaller places. Upstairs appeared to be a little plusher, again with an outside patio area to take the air on.

I had beers from Kilkenny and Smithwicks at $4.00 or $4.50 a pint, can't remember which (Happy hours May 2010), neither was great, but they weren't too bad either. We used the bar and cash to get served as we weren't eating, had to push through the people sitting at the bar and try and make the Eastern European? Barstaff understand me.

This was a nice little pub...and I'll emphasize little. It's not very big on the inside...upstairs seating for people eating dinner. It gets pretty crowded as there is a band in there almost every night. The two bands I saw were very good. The place is decorated cool too.

Anyways...moving on to the point. There beer selection was nothing special. Your typical Irish beers with Fosters and Newcastle thrown in there. The service wasn't bad for how busy it was. I was always able to get my beer in good timing.

In conclusion...a nice pub that can get a little a crowded at times and won't blow you away with their beer selection.

Stopped into this pub in NYNY for dinner. Looks like a standard Irish pub, with a bit more Vegas flair. Service was good, as my waitress was very attentive. Beer selection was pretty below average. Guinness, Harp, Smithwick's, Murphy's, and all the other boring UK/Irish beers you'd expect to see on an unimaginative tap list. I went with the Murphy's Red and the shepard's pie for dinner. The food actually seemed to be the highlight of this restaurant. The people next to me got chicken pot pie and fish and chips, and they were presented quite impressively. My shepard's pie came served in a steel pail they cooked it in, and it had a very nice flavor to it, and was quite filling. Beer and entrees were expensive, with most beers $7 and food in the $17 to $40 range. I really liked the food here, and I would have given this place a higher rating if only it had at least one or two BA-worthy beers on the menu.

we stopped in for a bite to eat and a beer, expectations relatively low, yet secretly hoping for greatness. the atmosphere was pretty decent. lots of wood, lots of kitschy adornments lining the walls... it felt a touch forced, although partly because it's inside NY NY. not a bad place to escape the strip.

The tap list is the traditional Irish line-up with nothing shocking - Guinness, Smithwicks, Murphy's red, and a handfull of others, along with the usual american macro options. Not outstanding selection, but pretty decent by vegas standards. At $7 a pint, the value is fairly on-par with the rest of the strip.

All I had food-wise was their Corned Beef sandwich. and all i can say is it may have been one of the worst versions of Corned Beef I've had. Bacon-mayo aside, the beef was close to rubberbands and the flavor was mediocre... But thisn't Corned Beef Advocate... The beer was solid, the atmosphere nice, and there was something beyond BMC. I'd stop in again if I was passing by.

I actually went a little out of my way to get to this place. I was searching for beer pubs in Las Vegas while I was there on holiday and thought this was the type of place I was looking for, an Irish bar with Irish music and Irish beer. You can't beat that combination in a crowded busy tourist trap town. I was looking for a nice place to sit down and unwind with a pint.

Upon arrival I did have to weave my way around the NY NY casino a few times to find the entrance but eventually found it. Walking in it felt like a big but cozy spot to take in a cold pint. The wood paneled walls give it that small pub appeal while there was a stage, bar and tables downstairs and we ventured to the upstairs bar. The staff was great and there were a few Irish and English ale's on tap. I had a Murphy's Red Irish Ale to start out with and was quite pleased with the freshness of the ale itself.

I didn't try any food but the aroma in the bar smelled quite tasty. I believe they had some typical Irish and American pub fare but I wasn't there for that. They had Guinness, Harp, Smithwick's (pronounced Smitticks in Ireland), Murphy's, Foster and Bass on tap and quite a few Irish whiskeys behind the bar. I had a rocks glass of Bushmill's 10 and then another pint of Guinness to wash it down.

I really liked this place and it wasn't crowded at all considering it was before noon on a Sunday. It was a great place to stop in and I wish I would have been there for the live band but I am sure I will be back in the evening next time to see it.

2nd time here in two years, so it's worthy of a review. The beer selection is typical Irish/English/Scottish ales on draft with fizzy yellow US and Mexican lagers in the bottle. Had a couple of good Guinness pints, unfortunately poured in plastic cups. Must be a Vegas casino thing.

Prices were high, $7.50 for the pints, but that's Vegas.

The attraction here is the atmosphere and music selection unusual for Las Vegas. The place is assembled and adorned like a traditional Irish pub, large spaces, high ceilings, but with cozy corners as well. Reminds me of the many Fado bars I have visited across the US.

A nice destination if you are in Las Vegas an need a break from the Vegas nitelife, with a good traditional, but plastic, pint.

Nice surprise to find a place that took you away from the glitz of the strip. the decor was dark and soothing and you did feel you were in a Irish pub . The beer selection was nothing out of the ordinary and the food selection was typical pub fare complete with bangers and mash. Nice place to get away from it all. They offered a flat bread pizza that was very good which my wife ordered and i had to try the bangers that didn't disappoint. May have enjoyed the place a little more if we were able to sit at the bar to eat and able to take in the atomphere.. The bar area was very busy with a lot going on around it very impressive layout .

I have to admit, my visit to New York-New York was hardly about finding a good Irish pub, but this place was nice. The place is decorated to appear like a traditional Irish pub, complete with paraphernalia and signs on the wall, but I was more interested in the bar. The cost is bit high, but that's Vegas for you. The quality and service was a bit better than standard, and nothing spectacular, but far from poor. The food is fine, and in a city filled with pale copies of the real thing, this was a nice change. The view of the strip behind the casino's bridge mock up is phenomenal though!

Went there at 2:00 p.m. on a Saturday, but place still pretty full. They had live music which was pretty good.

In rating the atmosphere, I had to suspend the reality that this was in LV inside NYNY. Looking around, it is a nice place. Lots of wood, very comfortable and quite lively. Quite nice. I sat at the upstairs bar.

On tap they had a few beers, including Guiness, bass, sleemans, harp, pyramid and a cider. I had a Guiness [couldn't help myself].

I didn't eat, but the menu looked good enough: burger/chips [$12], chips/dip [$10], soups [$8], sanwhiches [corned beef $12], Irish stew, celtic chicken. Not cheap, but I wasn't expecting it to be.

Service was good. The bartender was friendly and attentive.

Overall, if you are in NYNY, this is a decent place to come and have a pint.

For being inside a large casino on the strip, its actually got a pretty cool atmosphere. Lots of alcoves and tables tucked away into corners, the second floor is open onto the bar area below. If you know where to go, there is also an outside patio on the second floor that overlooks the strip area. Pretty cool place to people watch from. We didn't get a chance to try the food, but it certainly all looked and smelled delicious. However, the bar area can be very packed and quite loud. Be prepared to elbow your way in to actually get a beer. About a dozen beers on tap, nothing particularly special. Prices are high for anywhere else, but about average for Vegas.

Nine Fine Irishmen is as real as a pub can get in the U.S.. It seems as though they have picked up an actual Irish pub and dropped it right into the middle of a themed casino. For what it is, it is great. There is no cover to get in.

Prices seem high, but when you think about it….you are in Las Vegas. You can’t even get a glass of water for free. Pints of Guinness were $5 and I had an exquisite meal. So, when you compare these prices to every other place on the strip, it is really not that expensive (meals are average $10-$25). The menu is picked and prepared by a fine Irishman. Food was remarkable, everybody at the table thought so. There are many traditional Irish items and also classics that you would expect to find like burgers, sandwiches and salads. You might read about poor service, but ours was great, both times. About ten taps and you won’t find piss beer here. Mostly stuff like Guinness, Harp, Bass, there was also a local micro from ‘Sin City Brewing’.

The entertainment was an Irish band named Sin E Ri-Ra. They really are Irish, except for the violin player but her boyfriend (Seamus) was a very friendly Irishman and he gave me a warm welcome. The band was the icing on the cake. They played traditional Irish songs such as ‘Whiskey in the Jar’ and ‘Step it Out Mary’. Toward the end of the very end of the night, they were playing more contemporary music like U2 and the like (still Irish). People were dancing and singing and there was even a little tiny woman there dancing jigs all night long. No kidding, were talking like six hours straight.

Great atmosphere and the place is much bigger than the façade would suggest. It wraps around and there is also an upstairs area with another bar and more seating. There are little nooks and crannies which make it really feel like a pub. Very warm and relaxed. There is also a patio. It is a bit small, but nice to go take a beer and sit and enjoy the cool desert evening.

If you enjoy Irish music, food or atmosphere, then check it out. If not, check it out anyways, surely you will have a good time and find some great beers, food and people.

The atmosphere isn't bad. Nine fine Irishmen busts behind the bar, crap on the walls, loud as hell. The band was killer and the cutie behind the bar poured the beer quickly. All the shipped in Irish stuff is exactly like you'd see at Tirnanog/fado. My problem is, I've seen it done before and better. Everything seemed a little bit forced to me--from the fake costumes to the annoying MC. However, this is a tourist trap. For what it is, they do it well.

There were about 12 taps. The only standout as something I wasn't used to seeing was Kinsale. Other than that, you will find the same stuff you will find in any other Irish joint. They have a stout specifically made for them by "Sin City Brewing," which is rather tasty.

The notable pieces were the very well done food and the local band. Everything was quite expensive, both the food and the $6 drinks, and the random crowd ebbed and flowed from tolerable to crazily packed. It's the nouveau riche cousin of the Irish Bar in AC.

I'm not overly sure that there are better bars on the strip. However, if you are looking for cheap prices and a Guinness, head to Casino Royale next to Harrahs. Just bring some alcohol wipes for your hands afterwards.

A visit to Las Vegas to attend a Corporate Business Conference gave me the opportunity to try the one place on the Strip that had eluded me for some time. After a long day on the 3rd floor of the Excalibur talking about Power Stations it was time to break for a brew. Even the short walk to the adjacent New York, New York in the 100 Degree sunshine was enough to work up some perspiration and a damn good thirst.

Once inside the Air Conditioned NY-NY the Nine Fine Irishmen was relatively easy to find, if you get lost just look for one of the many Signs or Maps, Oh and it’s on the ground floor! With a rather fake looking brick exterior the dark green painted wooden sign with gold lettering at least added some authenticity to the outside. The walk through the centrally located entrance reveals an interior that opens outward and upwards to a second floor. The curved dog-legged bar runs to your left, heavy dark carved woods, black glass & gold lettered signs plus reflective back mirrors project a solid appearance. To the right a metal staircase leads you to the upstairs area; this place is more spacious than it first appears. Immediately in front me a Band was playing underneath a wooden beamed alcove, the floor winds to your right and leads to yet more nooks and crannies, some of which contain comfy Sofas for the lazy at heart. No surprise to see lots of Knick-Knacks, Bric-a-Brac, country oriented tools, flags, signs and other simple decorations litter the walls. Above the bar, the white busts of the Nine Irishmen [Charles Gavan Duffy, John Mitchel, William Smith O'Brien, Patrick O'Donohue, Terence Bellew McManus, Richard O'Gorman, John Blake Dillon, Thomas Francis Meagher and Thomas D'Arcy Magee] sit inside small wooden alcoves each brightly lit from underneath which juxta-pose the darkened interior nicely.

I elected to stay at the Bar and enjoy the fixed and moving scenery as well as the rousing music. The place had a good buzz to it, no doubt accentuated by the Irish Folk Songs and the Bands frenetic fiddler. The beer range was way in excess of what you would find in any Irish Bar. Two Banks of around Twelve Taps dispensed the expected Guinness, Harp, Stella, Fosters, Wexford Irish Cream, Kinsale Irish Lager, Murphys Irish Red plus a few others, most seemed to be on Nitro dispense. They also had Blackthorn Dry Cider. The range was nothing earth shattering but the Ballingarry Stout is a noted brew that is unique to here, I think it is brewed by Sin City Beer Company. Average range in craft beer terms but it sure excelled over and above the other Casino Bars, and the Guinness was rather quenching, the Ballingarrry wasn't too shabby either. Bar Service was attentive and quick, including hand signs from the guy that served me, he pointed to his earplugs when I jokingly asked about the hand signs...must get loud in here! But beware this place is expensive and a Session here will lighten your wallet faster than the clanging slot machines outside.

Didn’t try the food but it looked to be solid fare with a Vegas looking consistency but I noted from a couple near me that the speed of service from ordering that would not shame Mickey-D’s.

So what’s the difference between a ‘fake’ Irish Bar and a real one? Well for me the answer is rather simple, the latter is in Ireland, and the former is not. So I most certainly did not expect the “real deal” here, and anyone that does is a fool. I expected the Irish-Bar-done-Vegas-Style, and that is exactly what I got. Taken in that context this place is not all that bad. It’s easy to knock Vegas and its tourist traits, but what the hell else do you expect when you come to the middle of the desert!? Enjoy this place for what it is - a great place to relax and chill out if you don’t get hung up on detail too much, if you do, the Airport is nearby, just keep heading East and jump out at Dublin.

Nine Fine Irishmen is located in New York New York on the strip and is very easy to find. I visited in the early afternoon for a few pints and to see what this place was all about. When I went it was very low key and quiet for the most part. I'm sure this place gets busy at night time.

It's obvious what they are going for here...a true, authentic Irish pub. Coming from Boston and the East Coast in general, this style Irish Pub is a dime a dozen. Irish pubs are probably not as prominent West Coast, so if you're not used to this type of pub at your pleasure, then you might really like it here. They had 10 beers on draught, all typical selections except for a Sin City Stout. I went with pints of Guinness. At $6.50 for a 12 oz pint, it's safe to say this place is overpriced.

Celtic music was playing during my stay. There are two or three levels here. I didn't try the food, I was just focused on enjoying some fresh Guinness. The bartenders were very talkative, friendly and responsive.

An average pub by all accounts and worth seeking out if you are looking for some Guinness. Other than that, you won't be missing much.

Ugh.. very dissapointing. The ESPN Zone is around the corner and worth a visit but this isn't, even if they have more beers. They do nothing for controlling crowds and that degrades on everything. The quality was poor primarily because they are in such a rush and use plastic everything when it's packed. Service took longer than just about anywhere else with the exception of places in TI. Selection was OK with Sin City's Ballingarry Stout available too. I didn't bother with any appetizers as it was too crowded and took long enough each time we visited. Prices seemed reasonable for Vegas.

Signs all over the casino saying a great place to have a pint. Of course it is since they charge $6+ a pint. Interior looks like an upscale Irish version of a Fridays or Bennigans with odd nic nacs all over. Outdoor seating available. 2 stories high and plenty of tables to sit with your friends trying to act Irish. Everyone around me ordering black and tans and not knowing what beer they want for the tan half !!

At the bar I sat at, there were 9 taps with 2 being Guiness. Typical Harp, Bass, Smithwicks, and a cider available. I opted for the Kinsale which I never had before (and won't again). The only other option was a Pyramid Hefeweizen which the lady bartender claimed was dull.

When the bartender asked what I thought of the place, I stated quite unimpressed. She stated if I wanted good beer selection I should head to the Freakin Frog ! Then she wondered how anyone pays $6+ for a drink in the place. Thanks. Should have said that up front before I knew what a pint cost in this place.

I would avoid this place at all costs. Get your Irish brews at any other bar for free while playing video poker. This place is a rip off.

This place is kind of a tourist trap. A decent band plays, and many people crowd in to the two story pub to drink overpriced "pints" (they are pint-shaped glasses but have to be only 12 oz.) at $6. I really feel sorry for out-of-towners who have to pay a $10 cover on top of that (locals get in free). The pub lay-out is very cool I have to say, a tall staircase takes you to a high second story and a small door leads you outside to the patio. Though the patio upstairs is exceptionally small, it provides a nice vantage point of one of the more crowded parts of the strip, and is perfect for a couple of people having a drink. Beer selection is nothing to get excited about, Guinness, Harp, Wexford, Stella Artois are some of the selections. Some cool features, but not really worth the trip over.

Located in the New York-New York casino on Las Vegas Blvd, Nine Fine Irishmen is in the "city" (complete with smoking manhole covers) and is an upscale Irish restaurant/bar. I visited during a normal lunch time and the place was not very busy at all.

Inside there is the typical atmosphere you see at any Fado-type americanized Irish pub. Folksy knicknacks among a lot of green. The bar is along the left side of the establishment.

The beer selection was no real surprise. Guinness, Murphy's, Kinsale, Smithwick's etc. Nothing you can't find at a myriad of non-Irish places. Still, it was better than the beers found at the majority of other places in the casino, and you are allowed to take the overpriced ($6/pint) beers outside the pub.

The service was decent, but again they were not busy.

I didn't try the food, but the menu boasts a lot of the Irish-American fare you would expect. Worth a stop if you are in the casino, but otherwise you aren't missing much.

On a scale of 1 to 10, f*ck this place.

It's your standard "we spent a buttload of money to force our bar to look just like one in Ireland" idea, only it's got two levels and seats 400 people. 6-8 taps - Stella, Guinness, Bass, Newcastle, etc. Nothing local, nothing special. Pretty lame.

But the worst part a pint of McEwan's was $6.50. My wife's vodka/cranberry was $7.50. Eight chicken wings was $10. It's a damn Irish bar for crying out loud! I ate at an Irish bar in the Cayman Islands for less!

This place is ass - avoid it at all costs.

Outside, The Statue of Liberty, The Coneyesque Roller Coaster, The Chrysler Building, The Brooklyn Bridge, the fire boat in the the harbor, and inside, the Big Apple Bar, NY Pretzel, Greenwich Village Coffee Company, Gaming on the Green, SoHo Village Shopping, The Bar at Times Square, and of course New York's Gallagher's Steakhouse. They've got street signs pointing off in different directions. The first one I came across was Hudson Street and I instinctively wandered down it fully hoping but only half expecting to find the Blind Tiger at the end but it was not to be (sad, like the clown). Murals of 1 Times Square and various city street scenes throughout.
Now, over there in the corner of the casino is a bar called Nine Fine Irishmen. Seems small but is actually quite spacious once you do the whole walkthrough. The entranceway is narrow but there's an area that wraps around towards the back that twists and turns in little nooks and outcoves with couches, benches and tables. It's tight but comfortable back there, stained glass windows, animal traps, saw blades, tools, shelves with lamps, bottles and old tins, lanterns, pitchforks, old pictures, jugs, baskets, pieces along an old fireplace and an area where the band plays. The house band is called Sin E Ri-Ra, a traditional Irish music group playin' jigs and reels, sing alongs and classics. Violins, some crazy Irish dancing girl (she's champion Irish dancer cutie Sharon Lynn), everybody doin' the jig, dancin', spinnin', reelin', rhymin', it was like a Dylan song, and there was a pack of older singing, swaying Irish moms. It was cool shit. There's an upstairs bar with a balcony, Irish prose decorating the walls, globes, steamer trunks, stuffed animal heads.
10 taps. Guinness, Bass, Harp, Kinsale Irish Lager, Stella, Fosters, Wexford Irish Cream Ale, Carlsberg, Murphy's Irish Red, and Blackthorn Cider. Good fresh Guinness (for strength) and the Wexford, very nice. Service was so-so in this good Irish bar but the place was hopping just after midnight on this St. Patty' Day. And definitely have a look at the "Wall of Fine" when you're there. You know who's on it? Not you.
