Flavorful and good. I am not a huge IPA guy but I enjoyed it.

Maybe a few years ago, this would have been something special, now it's just a typical IPA.

Pours a massive head, easy three fingers of semi-dense foam, flat white hue, even the larger fat bubbles linger across the surface, the lacing forms an intricate web along the glass walls, will need to be washed out. The liquid has a soft haze to it, orange to yellow in color like lightly rusty water, virtually no visible bubbles after the pour settles. Initial damp earth, fallen tree leaf funk to the nose before a prettier floral breeze comes along, honey, orange zest, cocoa and peach, nectarine fruit scents, tends to stick more to the nostrils than lift as a result you don’t get as much scent separation as possible. Light to medium-bodied, smooth but just as much it trails off at the end. The malts are front-loaded with cocoa, Ovaltine type accents and a soft doughiness. Then comes a fresher tangerine, mandarin orange citrus as well as light floral nature. The peach, apricot, pear fruit likewise more light of touch than flavorful. The carbonation has a lowkey steadiness to it, the mouth feel is dry and slightly chalky. Did not make a positive first impression but by the time the bomber was gone had grown on me a good bit.

22 ounce bottle poured into a tulip glass

A: Pours an dark orange, gold color with a bright white head, lots of lacing, not much head retention, lots of carbonation, a little hazy, looks pretty good.

A: Some pine, mango, citrus peel like grapefruit and orange, not picking up any malts or alcohol on the nose.

T: Hit of pine bitterness up front, citrus notes, finishes with strong grassy earthy flavors, semi-dry finish at the end, alcohol is well hidden, bitterness is well balanced, you get some bitterness but it does not jump out at you.

M: Medium body, semi-dry on the palate.

O: Pretty good beer, not a lot of malt but that's okay, I prefer my IIPA with not a big malt presence, a nice balance of citrus, pine, and earthy notes, a good solid middle of the road IIPA, glad to have tried it.

Fruity, Piney, Herbal, Simcoe!

This organic DIPA pours a bright orangey gold color, with a touch of chill haze that eventually goes away, and an impressive creamy white head that sticks. Aroma is a bit dank, vegetal, and floral. Crisp on the palate, then creamy. Fruity, apple, citrus, and a touch of caramel. Big smack of leafy, coarse, piney hops with herbal notes, suggestions of onion, a dry aspirin edge, and an oily feel that all lingers into a bready finish. Alcohol comes to play as the beer warms. The heavy-handed focus on Simcoe hops is quite fun and impactful here, creating a unique DIPA in a market that’s currently saturated with them.

Pours thick sticky head that dussapates into a beautiful lacing that lingers forever. Smell is strong and hoppy. Taste is extremly bitter, hoppy, piny, very strong flavors with no sweetness to be a distraction. Very smooth despite the bitterness. Overall a very good dipa one of the best I've had.

Poured from a 22oz bomber into my St Martin tulip

Appearance is pale golden with plenty of creamy white head and lots of small bubbles, retaining a small amount of head and lacing decently to the bottom of the glass.

Smells of pine forest, grass, brightness and jasmine.

Tastes like sucking on a grapefruit-infused pine branch (credit: my wife) and subtly like cilantro and chicken. Also featured a miniscule bitter finish which was surprising from a beer of 80 IBU describing itself as 'palate wrecking;' on the contrary I found it very smooth and pair-able.

In the mouth is a smooth sticky fullness with a lively effervescence in the cheeks and tongue.

Overall, this is just another great brew from a great brewery. I found it to be about one of the most session-able IIPAs that I've ever had. Eminently enjoyable.
