Pours a clean orange-ish color, with yellow hues and a white head. In the aroma, citrusy/ grapefruity hops. In the taste, mainly citrusy/ grapefruity hops with a small maltiness in the end. A bitter mouthfeel and a semi dry citrus hop in the aftertaste. Very nice balance and vry good for an organic, haven't had much luck with those, but this is a nice one.

File this under "how in the hell have I not reviewed this beer yet". Pours an auburn/light brown kind of color. Here comes the malt boom. 1/2" off white head.
Aroma is all about the bread. Bready caramel malt tones. Hops? Playoffs? (incredulously). There just isn't a hop nose here. Might be absolutely devoid of any dry hopping. It was pedestrian at best aroma wise back in the day, but in this day and age, I think you gotta find a 103 year old guy who likes English IPAs and mild ales to be into the nose on this one.
There is a certain bitterness to it that is a little different than most high alpha acid low flavor hop strains. Perhaps its the more roasted malt than usual for an ipa presence.
As an ipa, this one is markedly below average in just about every way. It borders on being a brown ale but for that bitterness.

Nice enjoyable sessionable IPA. Aroma is pleasant and not overbearing. Caramel notes for maltiness and a bit floral and citrus on the nose. Should be rated higher IMO.

Paid 2.19 for the bottle. Into a pint glass.
A - Pretty decent is is rather hazy/dirty amber brown with a 1/4 inch of head that pulls back to a pretty sweet lace ring.
S - Somewhat muted but herbal hop bitterness. Touch of sugary malt. Some bready malts. Really not much.
T - Huh its not it the hop bitterness its mostly malt like an old ale but easy going. Not really good or bad.
M - Light to medium easy to drink.
Overall I guess it could use more hop bitterness since it comes off as a lower ABV barleywine but a very drinkable one. Could be old but who the heck knows with no bottle date!
