A-The beer pours an opaque black color that is capped with a thin tan foam. The head has little lacing and does not last long.
S-This is the best part of the beer. The beer has a definate chocolate smell. There are roasted coffee-like aromas but it is dominated by the powdered chocolate aroma. I can't detect any hops in the aroma at all.
T-There is a malty/tangy sweetness initially that fades into a coffee-like chocolate flavor. The bitterness is kept at a medium level. There is little to no hop flavor.
M-The beer has a light body with a lower carbonation level.
D-While the beer exhibits no flaws other than the chocolate/roasted flavor it is not too interesting. It is certainly drinkable for a session beer.
