Poured into a standard pint glass a clear deep golden color with a nice looking lacey white head that settled into a frothy mass.Herbal and grassy hops stand out most in the nose along lighter biscuit sweetness, like a others have noted I detected a slight mustiness in the aromas.Flavors are leafy and grassy and not overly bitter from the hops, light caramel/biscuit underneath the hops. Not bad,it went down easy at a bbq gathering yesterday.

From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #77 (June 2013):

LOOK: Hazy golden hue, impressive lacing

SMELL: Blood orange zest, cilantro, green peppercorn, dried grass, bread crust

TASTE: Deep smoothness, crisp, moderate bodied, ample hop bitterness, herbal, citrus rind, mildly rustic graininess, biscuity, hint of alcohol; clean, dry finish

One of the more interesting brews we have run into in a good while. While it dons the guise of an American Pale Ale, there is something different about this brew. Could it be the organic malt and hops? Perhaps a bit, but we like how this beer was put together. Well done!

L: Pours straw gold with a slight haze under a 3” lacy off white to cream foam cap that takes over 4 minutes to collapse to ¼ its original size.

S: Citrus, melon, tropical fruit and a trace of bread crumb aromas.

T: Layers of flavor featuring citrus, melon, tropical fruit, bread crumb, a light sweetness and tartness in balance, drying finish. Hop flavors are medium, malt flavors medium low yeast flavors low.

F: Very creamy with a medium light body and medium to medium high carbonation.

O: A very flavorful and drinkable IPA.

Undated bottle, purchased yesterday, served in a wine glass.
Poured clear, light amber color, with a rather high level of visible carbonation. This is topped by a large, creamy bone-colored head that has excellent retention and leaves super lacing. Minor deduction for clarity.

Aroma: moderately strong and complex American hops with some light-toasted, sweet grain.

T: Light sweetness upfront and a mild level of bitterness in the finish, yet a moderate level of hop flavor. Well-crafted, true-to-style APA.

Mouthfeel: somewhat high carbonation is soft and pleasing. Medium body.

Overall: an above average APA, particularly in the look and feel. I also like the higherration of hop flavor/aroma to bitterness.

Poured minimal head on a hazy, straw colored body.
The aroma is faint, but a little grain and lemon is there.
The taste is disjointed. Starts with mild lemon bitterness, moves to a strong, metallic bitterness at the end. Not particularly enjoyable.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
The bitterness at the finish lacked balance. Not sure I'm going to finish it.

This has a really interesting hop and malt profile. It's totally what I wanted, meaning different and unexpected. It is kinda like a pale ale I guess, but with a different light nose. It goes really well with food, almost like a Japanese beer, but it has that nice bready yeast and citrusy resinous hops. The straw color is nice, too. I am glad to find a hoppy beer that's not just a lower alcohol WCIPA.

It did not sell well at Costco so it has been discontinued. $14.97 per case as they unload it. It has a different flavor but I like it. A little heavier than some pale ales but lighter than a IPA. They were asking almost $25 per case before it was discontinued. Only about 6-8 left at the Costco near us. They are having trouble because Lagunitas and Sierra are both cheaper.

Hazy gold with one finger of white head. Head lasts about five minutes but leaves some decent lacing.
Smell is slight sweet malts.
Taste is big bitter hop notes with a bit of bready malt. Needs more malt please.
Mouthfeel is light to medium with good carbonation. Finish is dry and moderately bitter.
Overall it tastes like a session IPA due to the lack of malt presence. Nice light IPA though the hop bill was pretty good.

Pours a clear golden color with a tight, white head that leaves little bits of lacing.

Smells of grassy hops with a little bready malt.

Tastes of the grassy hops with a solid malt backbone. The grassy hops come through with a little lemon zest as well. Malt comes through and adds a little grainy sweetness with some bread notes as well. A touch of fruit comes through towards the end and rounds everything out.

Mouthfeel is medium with a slightly assertive amount of carbonation.

Overall, this is quite tasty and worth a try.
