A - Pours a bright gold with very, very active carbonation and a thick creamy, white head that actually STAYS on top of the glass without dissipating. (what a concept)
S - Biscuity background malt with a generous amount of apricot, orange, grapefruit, and mild pine aroma. This beer smells like a typical West Coast style hop bomb - very, very nice.
T - Mimics the nose with the same going on as it dances on the tongue. Has some biscuity malt underneath for a nice backbone to hold up generous helpings of apricot, orange, grapefruit, and pine. The hop bitterness dances between sweet and bitter with a slight nod leaning towards the sweeter, juicier side of hoppy happiness. There's a small peppery nuance in the finish that really rounds things out for a nice finish. After the sip, the mouth is coated with generous amounts of apricot and orange with bitter, metallic grapefruit lingering in the back.
M - Very mild carbonation on the tongue that finishes creamy and satisfying. Is on the heavier side of medium body and a little bit chewy.
D - Personally, this is a perfectly done D-IPA and a hop lover's delight.
