A body of light copper amber with a haziness about itself. The head is white and tall fading slowly leaving a fair amount of lacing ultimately settling to a frothy ring.
The aroma which seams typical for Bear Republic is bold and fresh smelling. I note plenty of floral and herbal hops in the aroma. They have a fresh aroma that is quite pleasing. As the beer warms subtle hints of candied sweet oranges come through. Quite pleasent to the nostrils I must say. Malts lay hidden in the background are sweet and bready.
The taste was a bit of a let down but still very good. Tastes of floral hops are present as is sweet candied malts that leaves residual sugar around my lips. Resinous oily hops coat the tongue with a substantial bitterness and abrasiveness that is unwanted.
I thought it smelled fantastic but that aroma didn't translate into the taste well. And on the palate it's quite dry and bitter taking away from an already wanting taste.
