Murky brown pour with no clarity to be found. Light foamy head.
The aroma consists of biscuit, malt and floral whiffs.
Slightly hoppy with a big malt backbone.
Pretty easy drink though this is almost a hybrid BW. Not the greatest BW, but interesting and still good.

Starts with a two-finger head from the bar. The bubbles never completely recede and they leave a cross between ring and blanket lace. The liquid is orange amber with a bit of haze.
Nice, deep malt aroma. Low toastiness and lightly sweet. No alcohol to the nose.
The taste is quite different because there is a very strong alcohol element. Thick body but with a decent carbonation presence the finish, while round and malt, features a touch of balancing hop and a strong alcohol warming feel. Long whiskey-like aftertaste.

The beer comes in a clear dark amber color.
The aroma has grapefruit, citrus, piney hops, a big caramel malt and sweetness.
The flavor follows of those grapefruit and citrus notes in the front, then big breadiness and caramel sweetness. Piney and earthy hops on the finish.
A good example of the American barleywine style.
