On tap the Dirty Truth - only a 14bbl batch! Pretty good all wheat beer here - Very light in body, lightly milky straw in color (slight haze). The flavoring is short and simple - light citrus hop aromatics, mildly bitter with little hop linger at the end - plenty American wheat taste.

I had this beer as part of a flight of samples at the Healdsburg, California restaurant. From tap and in 3oz sample glasses.

A-pale yellow body with a nice creamy head.

S-citrus zest smell.

T-lemony flavor, some malt

M-dry and light and very quenching

D-this is what an american wheat should be. Very good alternative to those who want macrobrew for a hot day and don't want a funky hefe. Would have this again.

I was lucky enough to catch some of this single release at Paradiso in DC (ironic since I live only 2 hours from Bear Republic).

A - Dark golden color, with a small frothy head. Small bit of lacing.

S - A mild aroma of wild grasses, honey and faint white peach.

T - A bit of apricot, honey, grapefruit and orange under a light malt. Very nice. Mild though. Aftertaste is moderately bitter grassy hops.

M - Harsh, thin, pretty refreshing.

D - Excellent! A quaffable beverage to be sure. I would have again (but allegedly the only batch). Still an American Whear with that classically harsh American Wheat finish.

On tap at The Blind Tiger, NYC.

Poured a medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and decent lacing.

The smell featured a clean wheat malt with a light citrus hop.

The taste was rather balanced and featured a light doughy malt and balacing hop. An herbal bitterness at the finish.

The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style.

Overall a very easy to drink ale. A bitblacking in the wheat department however.
