L- Darker gold, pours with thin white head that clears almost completely in 10 seconds. There was nothing to warn me that a lot of sediment would pour with the beer, and it had been resting for days in the fridge. It is one of the slugdiest beers I've had, hundreds of small chunks of it hang suspended. That might explain why there is zero rising CO2 in the glass.
S- Quite a perfumed mandarin orange, that all I get.
T- Citrus notes into a somewhat bitter finish
F- It's quite dry. I do get CO2 showing itself in my mouth. It is refreshing.
O- It comes over as a bit low-ABV% to me. [ps. I now just checked the lable and am very surprised to see it is 6%!!, I don't get that tang at all.] Interesting to try, but I doubt I buy it again.

Poured 12oz bottle into snifter. Amber color with 2 finger dirty white head. Nice retention and lacing on my glass. Plenty of pine and floral hop notes with hints of bitter citrus. Good amount of malt blends in with a bit of earthiness. Bitter notes with some juicy citrus of grapefruit and orange. The hops component takes over in the flavor with strong pine, resin, and orange citrus character. Good malt presence with a touch of sweet, burnt caramel. Finishes with more bitter pine. Nice medium body with some stickiness. Good carbonation with a dry finish. Overall nice old school west coast APA.

Pours a cloudy amber color. 3/4 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of slight spicy hops, citrus hops, hint of floral hops, sweet malt, and a hint of earthiness. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, hint of piney hops, spicy hops, slight citrus hops, earthiness, hint of alcohol, and a hint of pale malt. Overall, good appearance, aroma, and complexity. Body is slightly lacking and the blend is too earthy.

Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Smells of tropical fruits, hops, citrus, and malt. Tastes of mango and other fruits, orange zest, malt, and slightly bitter hops. Medium in body and carbonation. Overall an incredibly good APA.

Picked up a single from Kings Liquors in South Lake Tahoe, CA earlier this week for $1.79. Best by 12-28-2016, whoops again - i think Kings keeps most of their beers refrigerated so here's hoping.
Beer poured a hazy orange with a nice white head that is leaving lacing.
Nose has a healthy amount of citrus and tropical fruits.
Taste is really well balanced between oranges and mangos over a pale and caramel malt base.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and pretty smooth.
Overall a solid well balanced flavorful APA. I have not had a Bear Republic brew in awhile but as always you can count on a quality brew!

12oz bottle, best by 12/07/2017
Huge frothy off-white head slowly fades atop a hazy tangerine colored ale. Aroma is zesty citrus and grain with earthy pine. Hop forward with a moderate malt base. Notes of zesty orange and grapefruit with earthy pine pair well with caramel malt and toasty grain. Medium body, moderately bitter, semi-dry finish. Pretty good pale ale. Happy to try it, but doubtful I'd get it again.

Hazy gold with orange tint. Four fingers of bone color head that lasts more than ten minutes leaving rings and walls of fine bubble lace.
The smell is mostly rich malts.
The taste is likewise rich tasty malts. The hops come on slowly but build after each sip with a nice hop oil bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium with strong carbonation. The finish is balanced with a light dryness at the end.
One of my favorite California breweries does it again. Best by date was 7/27/2016. More than one year old! I will revisit when I find a fresher one!

Hazy light amber, decent white head.
Aroma is a bit underwhelming.
Nice and hoppy, but not terribly complex. Light malt.
Nice mouthfeel.
Overall, nice hoppy pale, but not world class.

Appearance: No idea - this ones staying in the bottle! So it gets a 3.
Aroma: Whoa, really a lot going on here, gorgeous citrus aromas, strong pine scent, some sweeter fruits and a nice dose of skunkiness to round it out. This one might have sat for too long but the skunk isn't a drawback, it smells great.
Taste: Smoother than the taste would let on, very easy drinking. A more muted taste than I expected. Orange, pine, hops, a very drinkable and sessionable pale ale. Nothing too strong or overt here.
Mouthfeel: Fine carbonation, relaxed mouthfeel, slightly thick for the style.
Overall: A great pale ale, nothing too rambunctious, but an ideal session choice. Would absolutely drink again. One of the better beers I've had in the style. If you like pale ales - pick this one up!

6/23/17....pours light copper, thick 1/4 inch fuzzy white foam. Small bubble built wall. Modest soapy malt nose, subdued. Chewy toffee bread based malt flavor, biscuit backed hop close. Subtle pine buried amidst the malt. Bready to the max. Pretty damn good.

Weathered copper orange in color with a heavy haze. Poured with a short, soapy, off white foam with moderate retention. Medium malty aroma with light caramel notes. Medium light floral hop aroma with orange zest. Medium bodied, with prickly, medium light carbonation. Light creamy smoothness through the middle followed by light warmth at the finish. Medium malt and caramel malt flavors up front followed by medium spicy, herbal hop flavors. Spicy medium hop bitterness through the middle with herbal flavors returning with light over-ripe orange and floral notes to the end. Finished semi-dryly with herbal hop flavors and light lingering hop bitterness. Balance leans toward the malty side as the hop character is a bit subdued. Easy drinking nonetheless.
