This brew pours a medium head of fine white colored bubbles that left a good lacing and had a transparent orange colored body. The aroma was hoppy and the flavor was very tart mixed with hops and an IPA bite. All-in-all a nice drinkable IPA from the fine folks at Flossmoor Station a place that everyone should try and visit.

This batch was called "Todd & Bill's Excellent IPA," must depend on who the assistant brewer is at the time.

There must be some kind of competition between Flossmoor and Three Floyds to make the hoppiest IPA around. This one is pucker-up bitter, with a bitterness that fights with the malt for the chance to curl your tongue. A misty light brown color sits underneath a thin, lacy head. There's a bit of citrus in the aftertaste; then the alcohol content makes itself known in your head… Ooooh, this is wicked cool!

Tasted at the 2003 Oregon Brewers Fest. Orange gold color. Small head. Aroma is malty with very floral hops, A medium bodied IPA. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and slightly bitter. Well balanced. Fairly bitter but balanced by the malt sweetness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

A hop lover's delight! Todd & Jeff's Excellent IPA lives up to its name. It pours a nice copper color with a creamy, ivory colored head. Sweet hoppy aromas jump out at you, citrus & resinous pine. Although very hoppy in flavor, the beer is balanced nicely with a sweet caramel maltiness. The beer has an slick, oily feel to it and an appropriate carbonation level. My glass was left with a nice lace and my mouth was left begging for more. If I were to compare this with another beer, it would have to be most like Dogfish Head 90 min IPA. A truly great find. I think I know what my next growler will be.

Once again, on tap at OBF2003 (at least this best matches the brewer's list and my list)

Poured a deep golden bronze, tight and clear foamy head. Smell is rich with fresh hops, and is really alluring. The taste was a big surprise, as there was a nearly perfect combination of hops and malt that seems difficult to find these days. A full malt profile provides for a wonderful mouthful, and the hops are ripe and fresh, and provide nice citrus aroma and flavor plus a nice bitter finish. Really a stand out IPA.
