On Tap at the pub. Pours a midnight black/brown. Thin tan head with decent lacing. Aroma is smoked malt, barley, and toasted grains. Taste is barley, toasted oat, coffee, and mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is thin and flavor rings. Good beer, but nowhere near a founders or great lakes. (282 characters)

(Served in a short glass)

A- This beer pours a dense jet brown body with a thin film of foam that quickly breaks up. It stains the glass a yellow hue after each sip. A bit too dense for carbonation.

S- The soft black malt has some roasted grain hints and is pretty clean with a hint of peat smoke to finish the aroma.

T- The soft band-aid note is more earthy smoke in flavor and not too offensive. It takes on more of a bacon quality as it opens up. The roasted black malt blends with some dry bitter roasted malt flavors that linger and are almost astringent.

M- The medium mouthfeel has a gentle fizz and a pretty dry finish but no alcohol heat.

O- A big bitterness and black roasted malt blends with smoke to make some full flavors but it is a bit to harsh and the band-aid flavor is mild but still a bit to strong. (835 characters)
