I checked out the Flossmoor Station the night before Dark Lord Day w/ witbier, his girlfriend and Phatz.

Atmosphere - The place has character a nice spacious bar and enclosed patio area. The old train station has a certain charm - The wood and long hall w/ seating reminds you of the way it probably was way back when. There are plenty of places to sit, relax and have an ale w/ a few friends. The only downside I noticed was the noise factor. It was extremely busy and that must have added to that, though.

Service - The service was pretty standard- efficient and generally friendly w/ a decent basic beer knowledge.

Food - The pub fare is tasty and well made w/ pricing that is reasonable and the portions are very large.

Quality - I had no problemms with quality here- everthing I tasted was fresh and the overall feel of the place kept with this standard.

Selection - The selection was good also, I tasted some very good ale and lagers. I found the mainstays to be well made also and they had several seasonals to bolster the array of beers on tap. The Killer Kowalski was great and they also had a Red, Brown, Wheat, and two different fruit beers along w/ Gandy Dancer, the honey ale and Milky Way stout.

Overall value - The place is comfortable, the food and beer is decent and the service is better than average. The pricing seems reasonable for what you get so I would not mind returning to Flossmoor Station if I get the chance again.
