This is the second time i've been to Flossmoor but the first time I was old enough to go when I drink. First of all, flossmoor is literally at the train station, and by that I mean the Metra stop towards Chicago and in a quaint little area. I some how missed this aspect when I went the first time. When you first walk in you see some of the brewing equipment off to the sides. The building itself it mainly white walls and some dark wood that looks a bit beat up as if aged. There are a few flat screens on the walls which were playing ESPN when I was there but there was no sound which made it a great place to talk. They have about 12 beers on tap and all of them are the Flossmoor beers which consist of 8 year round beers that cover the basic style, stout, wheat ale, a cherry and honey ale, a red ale, and a nut brown ale. They also have a few brewmaster specials which are essentially seasonals, and when I was there they have a black lager, a barleywine, and something else I can't remember. They also had one barrel aged beer, and a rotating guest tap, which was hop juice by Two Brothers when I was there.
The food on the whole is pretty good. We have some cheese logs which are cheese sticks but they were more beer battered than the normal fried crispiness. I had the chili, which was average, and a turkey sandwich with gouda which was good but its hard to make an outstanding turkey sandwich. The one thing that was nice was that the waitress was all about giving you a sample of any beer before you tried it which was a great way to figure out what to order. The service was a bit slow though on the whole especially given how slow it was when we visited it as it took awhile to get a new drink. The beers were $3 for a 12 ounce which seems on the whole average as well.
Overall, a nice place that is worth a visit in the area and they do sell growlers and are beginning to bottle their beers if anything strikes your fancy.

It's been more than a few years since I've been here and returned because of a gift certificate I was given a year and a half ago.
Vibe- Still cool because what's not to love about a historic train station and the mystique?
Quality- I ordered a cup of chili that was quite good, but the breakfast burger tasted like a char broiled frozen patty hastily thrown together. The two beers I had were marginal at best.
Service- Inattentive and hurried like they couldn't wait to clock out.
Selection- Full menu with many options and items to choose from.
Food- The quality of the items I had while not terrible weren't worth the money spent. What happened to this place over the years?

Always busy crowd, beers are varied and tasty, so is food. Staff changes somewhat, as in the Brewers and bartenders. their Bourbon aged beers are worth the wait.
Parking is slightly tricky depend time of day.

Pros: Fun pub/brewery environment, you can see the fermenters; the metra is right there.
Good food and good beer.
Cons: Good food and good beer, but not great
