The style of this ale is traditionally European, similar to a German kolsch: full bodied with a spicy hop tang and a rich, crystal clear golden color. Alcohol content is approximately 6% by volume.

I think I could print a nicer label on my home computer... no freshness date either to be found on the bottle or the 6'er

eyes:
fluffy white head that lingers, golden tan hue with ample carbonation, clean looking glass o' beer

nose:
nice malt sweetness is right up front with some hop florals floating underneath, nothing overly complex but hey, this is a summer brew after all...

mouth:
full feeling that ends in a dry sweetness. some lingering hops settle into the corner of your mouth in the aftertaste (this one pretty much drinks like it smells, no surprises), this somewhat reminds me of the Anderson Valley Poleko Gold except without the tannin aftertaste that beer seemed to develop, this one has the same flavor with a much fuller body.

verdict:
good, not as refreshing as a summer beer might (should) be for me, maybe this is a 'spring' beer, this one would be fine with BBQ and the like not with strong/sharp foods.

12 oz. bottle poured into a tulip.

Appearance: Pours a clear orange-copper with a big white head. Heavy lacing.

Aromas: Smells of buttery bread, malt, toffee, floral hops, biscuits and a little wine.

Taste: Follows the nose, and it's pretty tasty. Vinous note dominates, more than in the nose. Malt, toffee and biscuit are also up front.

Mouthfeel: More medium-bodied than I anticipated.

Overall: Nice beer. Not super "summery," but a nice, balanced, all-purpose ale with an appealing flavor profile.
