16oz can poured into a pint glass...
Pours a golden straw yellow, completely clear and clean looking with two fingers of fizzy soft white head which leaves some lacing...pretty standard Macro Lager appearance, but really nothing wrong with it...
Standard pale lager aroma as well, mild earthy hop presence, some grass and crackers with a tiny bit of lemon twist and a little spice too...actually, this could pass off as a very low abv% Saison in terms of the nose...
Crisp and clean, slightly sweet, with a bit of a citrus twist...grainy and a very tiny bit of earthy/leafy hops add a touch of bitterness. Actually not that bad...
Light bodied with good carbonation. Crisp and refreshing, smooth and easy to drink...a little unpleasant aftertaste, but nothing too bad...
Pretty pleasantly surprised with this one, would reach for a Zywiec over an American Macro any day of the week...

A: Pours slightly gold of straw. Accidentally aggressive pour leads to two and a half fingers bleached hed. Carbonation is moderate, with bubbles rising to the surface. Retention is moderate. Lacing is good. Head is made up of fairly large bubbles.
S: The bottle may as well be green. Mildly skunky, with herbal/vegetal hoppiness. Malt is crackery. Slightly metallic.
T: Pretty big rush of malt sweetness up front. Bready and a little doughy. Hops are mostly muted. Towards the finish, there is a mild surge of the cooked veggies/herbal component. Malt sweetness ultimately wins out, but it's not much of a battle. Finishes with a cooked cereal sweetness.
M: Not quite as carbonated as expected. Mouthfeel is soft, but not so soft as to be labeled creamy.
O: Drink it cold and it's an average EPL. Letting it warm shows you its inner demons. Do not let it warm.

Pours clear and golden color. The two fingers of white head have medium retention.
There is a nice malty aroma, which isn't too strong nor too weak.
The taste is expected: sweet at the beginning, followed by a pleasant bitterness all teh way to the finish.
Easy to drink and refreshing.

I drank about 400 of these during a recent trip to Poland. Very standard lager, but very refreshing, especially when fresh. Not at all surprising to say it was way better there than the imported bottles I’ve had in the states. Most Polish lagers seem to take on a gasoline aroma when they warm up, but Zywiec’s flavor held - nice light malt character and really drinkable.
