A beer of mediocre proportions. It ticks a few of the essential boxes, in that it carbonated , drinkable, beery in taste and smells not unpleasantly , but beyond that there is not to much to say .
It hides the higher ABV well , which for me is a bonus , however it did nothing to me to distinguish it from the pack of Euro Lagers ( strong or otherwise ) that are available

Poured bright gold colour and crystal clear. Lively head of pure white, that dissipated fairly quickly. Aroma very light and laid back, grassy and slightly sweet malts. Texture is fairly light considering its 7%, flavour more of sweetish malts - but not cloyingly so, little hop presence if any at all. No nasty surprises or vices, but on the other hand nothing to really get excited about - pleasant enough (especially at the price in UK Polish shops!!) would have it again, but neither would I search it out. Worth trying at the price, but nothing to shout about.

Needed a beer to go with dinner..Never tried this one. SOLD!

Pours a rich looking clear gold with the requisite quickly vanishing head. Spotty lacing from the remaining ring.

Smells of grainy malt and not much else..Head cold, doncha know.

Taste was comprised of more grainy malt along with bread/biscuit notes. Clean slightly biting finish from the lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is just north of thin.

Good "utility" brew. Ideal for replacing macros when gathering with friends for a football game. It WILL sock you in the jaw a little quicker than the average macro too!

Poured from a 16.9 oz. bottle. Has a rich golden color with a small head. Smell is mild, some malts. Taste is sweet, malts with a touch of hops, pretty tasty. Feels light in the mouth and has good drinkability. Overall this makes for a good quality beer.

Since the previous review the appearance of the can has changed. The dude with the hat now looks a bit more to his left (towards the viewer) and the mostly yellow around the oval label is now black. What's more important, ABV is now 7.0 %. Still, this is a nice beer. It pours a nice golden yellow with a quickly receding head. Smell has some bitterness and sweets in it, as well as a pronounced alcohol, despite the not too high ABV. Taste follows the smell, again the sweet bitterness and clearly present alcohol. My Mom, who brought it from Poland, said that she was warned to check the correct variety. This is the right one! So if you're in Poland this is an excellent beer to have, but don't go through the trouble of importing it.

golden yellow. A big fizzy white head was initially present but faded down to reveal nothing more then a thin layer of film like lace on the top. Lots of visible carbonation came streaming up from the bottom of the glass, and it left a tiny bit of residual lace on the sides of the glass.

The smell was light, nice grain and yeasty bread like smell mixed in with some kinda light fruit, maybe some banana, and a touch of alcohol, but it was pretty standard lager. The taste was like a really strong budweiser. It tasted like your standard fare macro lager, buch just stronger. Typical grain adn yeast, maybe some corn in the flavor. A touch of alcohol.

500ml Can: BBD 9th Dec 13, poured into a UK pint sleeve at my parents house on 24th Oct 13.

As you'd expect, it poured a clear golden colour and had a snow white head (that faded fast, also as you'd expect from a Euro lager/pilsner). The can is now black by the way, and the ABV is down to 7.0 from the 7.8 stated currently on BA.

Nothing sets this apart from the mass of similar brews around the world, it had a mini-corn like aroma with some metallic notes and tasted like a strong lager/pilsner with the alcohol showing more as it warmed a little.

Bog standard in every aspect: hope my Dad doesn't get anymore. It'll only give him headaches.

Compared to the previous power is clearly superior (especially in terms of ABV) but oddly enough, alcohol is less felt in the nose, which the drink easier to drink. We find this rather ethereal flavor in aftertaste, with some rather dry herbs. The nose is a Czech Pilsener, mixing both the side of grassy hops and side light, sweet malt, but more powerful.

The beer was in a .5l bottle with a date of 7/10, despite this it was good! Picked up single bottle at a Polish Deli in E. Windsor, CT. Beer had a good flavor, and a nice after taste. Grain and grass hints. Did not taste like hi proof Malt Liquor. Bet it would rock drinking this on tap in Warsaw. Would buy again.

500 ml bottle, best before 07.20.2010:

Pours golden yellow with a thin head that soon disappears to a small vanishing patch. Eventually no head and no lacing.

The smell is of mild grain, a touch of husk and a subtle floral touch.

The taste is of mild sweetness with some grain and cereal. Slight touch of alcohol shows through the general thinness. There is a mild floral dry touch balancing the mild sweetness in the finish. All-in-all, a rather bland, though inoffensive taste.

Light-bodied with a slight kick. It has medium carbonation for the style.

All-in-all, pretty much a "run-of-the-mill", average EPL,with less "Euro skunk" and with a bit more strength.

Not entirely sure this is the Mocne variety of Tatra...purchased at Shop-n-Save in Niles, IL (great ethnic market, plenty of wierd Polish and Russian beers). Imported by a company in Brooklyn, so this beer is meant for the US market. 6% ABV. 500mL tall can, poured into a Guinness pint glass (lame, i know).

Pours from the can a deep golden, richer looking than a normal American lager or even some Euros, like Heineken. Head disappears quick, but carbonation still abundantly present. Smells faintly of malt, fresh wheat, not floral, but it smells like a beer that has something behind it.

Taste was a pleasant surprise. Full of biscuit, grains...again, nothing floral, this is a bit of a masculine beer. The can says 'Beer with Character', and it's true. A nice change from Heineken or Stella.

Mouthfeel was another surprise. I expected, well, a lager, and it had much more presence, more like an IPA. Not watery at all. Good carbonation, even down to the bottom of the glass.

Drinks well, I'd like another right now, actually. Not a beer I'd use for pong, if that's what you're after, but this might be awesome for chilling on the porch after a long day. I'll have to track down a place in Denver where I can find it.

Served in a Gale Sayers shaker pint glass.

I'm getting tired of these non-malt lickah types being labelled as such (stupid laws and whatnot...at least, I think that's the reason, right...?). Oh well. This stuff pours a clear golden straw topped by over a finger of white foam. The nose comprises corn syrup, white bread, sweet honey, light grass, and the vague sense of artificial berries. The taste holds notes of overly sweet corn syrup, booze, hard water, light metal, grass, sweet flowers, and sweet caramel. Just a sweet, boozy mess, frankly. The body is a straight medium, with a moderate carbonation and a sorta syrupy feel. Overall, nothing I really wanna ever have again. I've had worse, but I also have nothing truly positive to say about it, either.

I tasted this 500ml can on 4th Jan 2009, best by 01.03.2009 (March). Listed as 7.0% on the can. Brought back to me from Poland (thanks Karolina).

It poured (pint tumbler) a blonde ale with some slight haze and bubbles rising giving a reasonable head. The smell was somewhat "medicinal" with an alcoholic touch, though not off-putting. The taste was a robust malty brew with a reminder of malt whiskey. Interesting! Mouthfeel was good, with a malty coating on the tongue.

Overall; quite flavoursome for a Euro strong lager. Worthwhile.

Mountain Beer. That what they call this one. I wasn't sure what to expect since it came in a tallboy can and was written in Polish. So when I poured it into the largest mug I could find (it is Mountain beer you know), I was surprised that it was deep gold in color. The head was thick and held up for about a split second I think. I don't know I didn't have my stopwatch or superhuman powers at the time. Absolutely no head retention is what I mean. Dropped like a rock.

Onto the smell. Air, no, fizz, no air, yep, no aroma really except the slightest hint of pilsner malt and clean yeast smell. Very faint though. So, I decided I should tast ehis 7% (abw since it's European?) beer. Wow. Crisp but full mouthfeel. Tasted sweet with a nice pilsner bite to it. Much like a Bohemian Pilsner ....but wait, what's this, alcohol warmth. Mmmmm. Imperial Bohemian Pilsener. I guess the Americans got a hold of this one...

Good beer. Fit for a mountain man? Sure. I would say you could enjoy this on the hottest of days and the coldest. Nice and refreshing but warming at the same time. I am impressed.

.5L emptied into a Pokal.

A: Pours light copper with a creamy 1-finger white head which receeds quickly to a thin ring. No lace.

S: Sourdough, malt, grassy hops, slight booze aroma, citrus notes.

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

T: Sweet bready malt, spicy hops. Some acrid booze at the back. Dry finish with a hoppy aftertaste that lingers for just a bit.

D: Surprisingly smooth for such a high ABV. This almost goes down too quickly. Nicely balanced. Glad I found this in one of the local Polish shops.

Thanks to my mom for bringing this back for me on her family visit. New beer is always good!
The beer pours a beautifully clear, orange-kissed gold. A short pile of white froth tops it, settling into a smooth layer atop the brew. Great retention, surprisingly, keeping through the whole half liter. Speckled bits of lace cling here and there. The aroma is laden with creamy, sweet malt, a touch of apple and mild hop spiciness. A touch of floral quality intermingling, both hops and esters. Pretty clean, particularly for the beer's strength. The flavor opens with a kick of sweet pils malt, rather heavy with a bready sweetness. Some oyster cracker flavor, burdened with a slightly overweight apple fruitiness. The finish is moderately hopped, fairly spicy, with a german metallic/floral hop tinge. Fusel sweetness in the finish, actually adding some heat to the swallow. Despite the alcohol presence, the finish is actually quite dry, if not exactly refreshing. I'm sure I'd start swaying after a few of these. The sweetness is powerful (for the milder nature inherent with lager) with nothing to tame it's lingering saccharine bite. The hops are there, but the alcohol's definitely in charge. I'm all set with just this one.
