Thanks to baggio for this bottle.

33cl bottle poured into a pilsener glass.

A = Clear dark golden honey color. Light wqhite head that resolves into a thin layer of foam over the surface.

S = Sweet caramel and chocolate candies, very light traces of hay. Mouthwatering in its sweetness.

T = Light sweet flavors of caramel and maple syrup with good balancing bitterness that starts midpalate and works the sides of the tongue into a decently long bitter finish.

M = Medium-light body, god frothy and full carbonation.

D = Very drinkable. A ewll balanced beer that goes down smoothly and easily and leaves me wanting more.

Appearance: Slottskällans Decennium Bocköl pours a scarlet-to-copper colour along with a bread white crown of a rather impressive stature, approximately 2-3 " tall. The crown in question is reduced to a thin lid of foam under the duration of a minute and a decent amount of small-sized bubbles are being given the opportunity to spurt towards the surface and end their existence in the foam, like an inverted line of lemmings falling to their doom at the bottom of a gorge.

Smell: Overwhelmingly fresh, flowery and peachy in a peachy (woah, betcha didn't see that one commin' eh?!) manner at first with a backbone consisting of sensible notes of toffee and dried dark fruits such as plums and raisins. Finally, a subtle yet dry hoppy finish manages to sneak in and leaves the mind wandering towards wheat. For a bock, I'm quite surprised at what I found in this sensory compartment.

Taste: Bread, pizza bread actually, some tomato(!), thus initally being very different from the scent -- but cowabunga dude, it's pizza time in beer-land!

However, my teenage mutant friends and banana-raincoat wearing bitches, the plum-like sensations correspond with a pleasing sweetness and the the bread-like characteristics could be compared to the wheat (which probably is the malt funking around) I came to think of. Overall, a rather malty one, a tad buttery in the end but also a bit metallic, which in my book never is a plus in my book...

Mouthfeel: Low in carbonation and all too thin, it's not adjunct lager-piss-thin but darn close. Pretty smooth yet fairly dry and rough in the finish.

Drinkability: The obvious let-down is the consistency of the body, I would've wished ever so dearly for it to be bolder and richer. All in all, it may not be a splendiferous brew, it's somewhat inconsistent in flavour and scent, but nonetheless a pretty decent bock!

Pours dark amber, with decent head. The smell is a sharp bitter tone with hints of yeast. Very little carbonation.

The Decennium has an intense taste of caramel which soon transcends into a long bitter aftertaste. Somewhere along the way the alcohol makes it's presence felt.

I had actually expected a little more from this jubilee beer.

The colour is medium brown-red; the two finger head is airy and off-white. Almost no lacing.

The smell is fruity and a little sweet with matured, lightly roasted notes. Hints of raisins and vegetables plus a hoppy dry flavour of butter and flowers.

The tasty is nutty-flowery with notes of very lightly roasted malt, a mild earthy flavour and some dry hops that make me think of Germany. The aftertaste is dry with notes of rye bread, butter, vegetables and noble hops.

The carbonation is mild, the bubbles very small. The liquid is very smooth.

Better than last year's batch, not at all as earthy as is was then. A good bock, although there are better ones out there.

Bottle, Stockholm. Deep amber hue with small, wispy foam. Aromatically dull with some malt (caramel, toffee) and some hops (hints of herbs.) Flavor has some complexity with the malt showing some hints of caramel, toffee and nuts, perhaps a hint of honeyed fruit. Has some body to it as well. A decent, drinkable lager.

Bought at "systemet"

A: Small head that goes away quite fast, color is dark amber.

S:Malty with no hoparoma, a little bit of fruityness

T: crispy taste , malty no hop, well balanced, not a hint of the 6,7% alcohol

M: Nice, medium + carbonation, easy to drink.

A good bock, but not the best...

Light amber color with a white foam, which lies down after a while.

The smell is of caramel and quite nice except for a typical Slottskällan aroma of root vegetables.

The taste is a bit better; the malt dominates with a nice sweetness and some notes of caramel and warming alcohol.

The mouthfeel is better than average and the drinkability is okay.

I have had this a couple of times now, but I can't really stand the root vegetable aroma.
