Bottle: standard 330mL brown bottle with a simple but stylish label.
Appearance: pours a slightly hazy champagne yellow in colour with fine sporadic carbonation. A small head pops up bit dissipates quickly, leaving a small ring around the glass.
Aroma: the strong nose instantly reminded me of the old apricot nougat sweets from my youth (you know the ones!). Fantastic! I'm not sure what sort of portent this is for a beer, but it smells of quality, and brings back great memories. If the beer tastes like it smells, it will receive a big thumbs up from me.
Taste: an unusual palate - the apricot is there but it is accompanied by an almost metallic bitterness. I assume this is the combination of the sweet apricot with the more traditional wheat and banana flavours. At first it feels a bit awkward, but a slight alcohol warmth keeps the flavour coming. Intensely drinkable.
Aftertaste: the sweetness backs off entirely to be replaced by an almost mouth-puckering sour bitterness - exactly my kind of thing. This beer really impresses.
Mouth feel: the mouthfeel is decent with a moderate body and a sharp, mid-range carbonation.
Overall: a very interesting take on the wheat beer. The flavour - and particuarly aroma - of this beer tickles my fancy, and the drinkability and refreshing nature work in a warm climate. I am drinking this beer at home in Queensland, and have not felt the 35-degree heat whilst drinking it. An interesting and quality addition to Monteith's Brewer's Series.

This is the second beer from Monteith's Brewer's Series that I've tried & they've both been very good.
This beer poured a light gold colour that was slightly cloudy. There was at least two fingers of frothy white head that stayed around for a while, before eventually fading to very little. There was moderate carbonation.
It smelt nice with apricots being prevalent.
You could taste the apricots &wheat and some bitterness. It was a tasty refreshing beer.

Appearance - hazy gold, small head.
Smell - wow, a confectionary store...
Taste - sweet apricot purée, wheat, dough, yeast.
Mouthfeel - well carbonated
Overall - one of the strongest smelling beers I have ever had, tho not actually smelling like beer! Too sweet... Overall too sweet and doughy... Never mind.

A: Pours a hazy honey golden color, with a small head that fades quickly.
S: Aroma of apricot with a bit of citrus an banana in the background.
T: Taste of mild apricot, some citrus and fresh wheat. Nice bitterness and a clean finish.
F: Fairly light body, crisp and refreshing.
O: I am not a fan of fruit beers but this one I actually did enjoy as the apricot was subtle and no extra sweetness to spoil it.

Drank from my Duvel Tulip.
A - Pours a hazy straw colour with a large bubbled white head that reduces quickly.
S - Apricots and grain
T - Up front some nice grains, the Apricot extract provides sweetness on the finish.
M - Light to medium body with medium carbonation.
O - A little too sweet for my liking. Never too sure how to rate these beers, however very refreshing on a hot day.

This beer poured to style although the head retention was very limited. The smell was delicious sweet apricots, almost like smelling the fruit itself. Taste very smooth, level of carbonation very low, small amount of hop bite and lingering apricot flavours. On the whole this was not as adventurous as it could have been, in my opinion the tartness of the apricots should have been a more prominent feature. But a very nice ever-so-slightly unusual beer for a summers day.
