Bottle: standard 500mL brown bottle with an ordinary macro label. Pretty boring stuff.
Appearance: standard ginger beer stuff - light straw yellow with fine carbonation. A small white head dissipates almost immediately.
Aroma: smells pretty good actually. The fresh ginger makes a big difference - much better than the usual artificial ginger. There is a touch of something else behind - smells of nutmeg or cloves.
Taste: a bit weaker on the palate but the ginger is still evident and forward.
Aftertaste: the flavours hang about for a time - very easy drinking.
Mouth feel: the mouth feel leaves a little to be desired - a moderate body with a moderate fine carbonation. It could really have used a bigger carbonation to carry more flavour.
Overall: a nice ginger beer - particularly the aroma - but it could have used just a bit more carbonation. Not sure I'd pay an equivalent of AU$85 a case of 24 x 330mL. One every now and then on a hot day - certainly.

Brewery Description: "Fresh ginger root, hand-ground and separately fermented, producing a clean, crisp and delicious ginger beer. A subtle underlying malt sweetness and mild hop to round out the flavour. Crystal filtered and highly carbonated to give it a crackle and pop in the mouth. Perfect for that moment when work stops and the weekend begins."
A-Looks like a cider in the glass...evident carbonation...light creamy head..
S-Fresh ginger...not much else...nice though
T-Really interesting....sweetish....reminds of a cider but without the tartness....definitely ginger forward...
M-Spitzy....seltzer water like in feel....
O-Interesting. I've had ginger in beers before but never a pure ginger beer, I just wrapped up two hours of tennis drills and this is hitting the spot but certainly is nothing I would drink often.
