12oz bottle poured into a perfect pint glass.
Pours a very light golden with very little carbonation and basically no head, odd for a pils. Nose is both malty and boozy, odd for such a low abv.
taste is sharp, sweet and quite harsh. Theres some odd aftertaste and this is not smooth at all. Skip this, bleh.

On tap at the brewery in Greymouth, NZ
Excellent clarity in this light amber ale. Both flavor and aroma are a bit light for style, particularly the aroma. The flavor suggests the use of something other than, or in addition to, traditional Saaz hops. Well-crafted and balanced, as well as very fresh (of course).
Feel: Light+ body with medium-high, very crisp carbonation. Clean finish.
O: very drinkable if somewhat light flavored pilsner.

Bottled AIBA 2003: Light in general, the hops and malts are a bit too subtle, and its a touch too fizzy, still, i found it quite pleasant, some sweet pale malt, and some light saaz, just not enough in my opinion. Some light obscure pale malt noticed, light and clean, and unoffensive.

This one has a solid golden appearance with a rather small, bubbly white head, maybe 1" high and subsides quick.
The aroma is subtle with light golden wheat, musty paper...like old almanac style-paper, buttery maltiness and light black pepper.
The taste is pretty clean, slightly watery edge with a malt that just a bit too sweet, buttery and cream-of-corn sweetness last a bit, balanced with very subtle earthy hops, dry-earth with a pretty clean, crisp feel, except for the malt which goes too far.
Not one of the crispiest Pils around but much better than anything BMC related by a long shot.

BBD of Jan 11 ( I presume 2011)
Pours an effervescent straw/gold color with 2 fingers of ivory colored head. Good head retention & average lacing
S: Bready & grassy
T: Follows the nose, plus some serious leafy hops & dryness up front, as well as some honey malt. Crisp hops (Grassy & leafy )intertwine with a light breadyness, p;us some herbal hop signature & a slight mineral edge to this as well once warm. Finishes with herbal hops & a nice breadyness, with just a bit of cereal sweetness
MF: Light/medium bodied, soft carbonation & good balance
Drank too easy, not a perfect pils, but pretty solid, holds its own against many I've had in Germany & here. Nice way to start a summer's evening beer journey!

Pours pale yellow with light white head.
Light white bread nose of no discernable character; not bad; not great.
Thin mouthfeel with light and elegant carbonation. Thin but crisp.
Flavors are actually light yeast and hop balance; pleasant and refreshing.
Nothing special all around but better than a light beer and pleasant enough to drink.

Poured from a brown 11.2 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a small head. Smell is mild, some sweetness. Taste is crisp, some malts, a bit sweet, quite refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and has good drinkability. Overall this is a pretty good quality beer.

Pours amber with a large, white head.
Nose shows cardboard, cooked vegetables and sweet bready malt.
Similar flavours but less vegetal character, with more sweet clean malt instead. Very easy-going bitterness, faint grassy hops.
Too much carbonation.

Bottle: Poured a clear medium golden color pils with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light floral malt notes with some light dry hops was OK. Taste is also refreshing and enjoyable with some light crisp hops with again some light floral notes and good balance between sweetness and dry aftertaste. Body was about average with good carbonation. Nothing earth shattering here but enjoyable nonetheless.

Found this beer during my most recent excursion to Trader Joe's. Presented in a 12oz. green bottle with a "best before" date of 08-04. Color was a clear golden hue with a bubbly white head that quickly faded to a light skim despite the lively carbonation.
Smell was pretty sweet, of grassy malt and floral hops.
Taste was a nice balance of grainy malt and estery flavors initially before a moderate hops bite kicks in. Has a lingering bitter finish.
Feel was light-bodied, crisp, and clean.
Actually, I liked this pilsner. Montieth's has a clean, well-balanced flavor and easy drinkability I found to be appealing. No hints of sourness, just a good fresh taste that made me wish I had another. I'll head back to TJ's to get this one again.

Pours a medium golden color with not a whole lot of white bubbly head that disappears almost immediately leaving a thin layer. Smells slightly yeasty, not much else in the way of aroma. Tastes hoppy, but not too bitter. Hints of citrus, finishes a little sour but mostly dry. Mouthfeel is very creamy and foamy, very nice. Overall, very drinkable. A well balanced beer, not a whole lot in the way of flavor or smell, but what is there isn't bad.

Another post-beach, hot day taste, from the bottle, no appearance notes. Very mild "beer" scent, followed by very mild "beer" tastes, I noticed a incredibly average "beer" mouthfeel, and remarked to my friend that I could drink another one of these "beers" since it was not offending in it's "beerness", an absolutely perfect "3", probably could spend less on a "beer" of equal or greater quality

A - Pours a clear stra colour with a slightly off white head that dies slowly.
S - Yest and herbs
T - A little honey present and some herbs, finishes with a certain yeatyness.
M - Light body and fullish carbonation.
D - Not a great pils or even a true one but ok for a session

Poured into a pilsner glass.
Pours a golden hue with orange highlights. Big stark white head with huge bubbles, about two fingers worth, that slowly drops to about a finger. Leaves nice lacing on the glass.
Aromas of sweet malt with a balancing noble hop aroma. Caramel and a hint of flintiness.
First sip is of grainy malt, on the sweet side, with a clean hop bitterness. Short finish of bitterness that fades nicely.
Mouthfeel is light, not watery. Nice level of carbonation.
Very drinkable, refreshing, sessionable.

Gold in colour with a nice white head which didn't stick around too long. Very clean on the nose, some noble hop aroma and background malt. A little bit sweet up front followed by a nice malty middle. The finish is crisp and dry. Not bad, pretty drinkable.

Pours a standard gold Pilsner color.
Smell is very malty, mild flowers smelled too.
Taste is sweet malt and that is about it. Hops do not show up, but it is a bit too sweet. I could almost give it a 3, but the sweetness kills it. There is also a Brassy after taste.
Mouthfeel is OK.
I can drink this but I really think a Colt 45 is a better brew.

A: Rich golden...1 finger big beaded white head. Average retention but pretty lacing. Carbonation is too flat for a pilsner...
S: Bland...little hops, only a smidgeon malts...not much here.
T: again too boring...doesn't feel like a pils...was hoping for more hops in bouquet & taste (maybe some noble)...only a little malts, little hops, little bitterness...not too much of anything really.
M: Medium...with a little scrapyness on tongue.
D: this is so your typical lager with maybe a fraction of bitterness in finish to give it a PILS tag...other than that, it's boring with nothing to entice back!!!

Wow! Ass! Apeearance is, well dark yellow, not too crisp a head. Nothing spectacular. Smell is bland and inoffensive with a hoppy kick. Taste is reminiscent of bad american macrobrews without the adjunct. Plus, it leaves an unpleasant bitterness without much flavor to it. Just bitter. I really don't like the hops used. Mouthfeel could use more carbonation. Not good.

A: Pours a clear golden color with a decent head that fades to some lacing.
S: Aroma of mild citrus with some malt sweetness and fresh grain.
T: Taste has a bit of citrus with malt sweetness, bit of caramel and grain. Decent bitterness and a fairly dry finish.
F: Light body, crisp, smooth and refreshing.
O: Not what would consider a Bohemian Style but still quite enjoyable. Good for a few.

The only reason I picked this up at State Line was because I knew I'd never see this fresher. It was practically off the ship, and had a month left.
There's no denying the attractiveness of the pour. Clear orangeish yellow with a big white head with excellent retention and intricate lacework, this is all a pilsner should be, especially with the high level of carbonation that's present. The lacework truly is beautiful.
A solid nose with crisp, earthy, lemony hops, this is pretty much spot on. A light cracker-like malt aroma is present. There's a touch of sulfur, otherwise, this beer is pretty perfect
A little too sweet for a pils, this isn't too bad. Opening with a combination of bready sweetness and a delicate hop bitterness that just isn't big enough. The mid-palate is a dry, crackery malt character before the hops make an appearance on the finish, with a delicate lemony and earthy character. Clean and crisp, this is a refreshing beer, albeit just a touch sweet. I'm having no problems drinking this.
