I'm not a homebrewer so I can't comment on selection or price but the owner, Robert, is a great guy. He's very active on the local beer scene, knows everyone, knows what's going on. He also is a partner in another local business, Honeymoon, which makes Mead, wine and cider: http://www.honeymoonmead.net/ . Besides homebrew supplies North Corner can get you set up with the stuff you need to build a kegerator, get the hardware for your home bar and of course, help you get started in making your own beer. If you have questions about what's going on in the 4th corner brew scene, Robert and his staff can point you in the right direction.

I go to school in Bellingham, so I buy all my homebrewing supplies here. The owner, Robert, is very helpful as are the other employess here - it is small shop so there is only a few others. They have a good selection of American grains, some Belgian, and limited German. They stock standard US hops and domestic versions of some Euro's as well as the most popular Wyeast yeasts (will order whatever you want though). Plenty of supplies you might need (or just want). Although they simply lack the space and customer demand for obscure or uncommon ingredients - it is a great shop and the ONLY place in Bham to get homebrewing supplies. Check it out!

I could have sworn I'd already reviewed this place....
This is where I got my feet wet (and the rest of the floor) with brewing. I'd helped friends before, but it was with guiding help from the owner (robert?) that I made my first beer and my first drinkable beer.
The shop has just about everything you need for beer and wine making, and even has smaller parts for kegging and such that you find out that you've left behind.
The service has always been great - no matter who has helped -they've been very accomidating, helpful and knowledgeable about beer and the fermenting process.
