Unknown vintage; I had this on draft 1/3/23 @ the Hopleaf.
Opaque orange/red rust appearance.
Minimal tan head; no lace.
Strong white wine, tart prune & faint caramel notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Prune, white wine, mild leather & faint caramel flavors.
Elegant, unique & delicious. A delightfully bold beer.

Poured out as a muddy brown color with little to no head on top. The smell of the beer has a big sweet aroma with subtle barrel notes. The taste is sweet and Fruity, no major barrel notes but still very tasty. The feel of the beer is medium to full bodied. Overall this was paired with some authentic Mississippi Pecan Pie by request and it was phenomenal.

Found this very flavorful. Dark fruit flavores acidic not too sweet. High alcohol content very evident but not over powering. This is a slow sipper. You will want to enjoy every minute of this outstanding beer.

Exactly what you'd expect from a beer that's 15.0%ABV. Heavy, dense, sweet, cloying. Reminded me a bit of a lower alcohol Calvados. No head. Interesting beer. Bottle cap had 2014 stamped on it and do not know the actual bottling date nor age of beer. Seemed a bit aged and, because of my tendency to forget about beers in my cellar, I'm guessing it's 3-5 years in the bottle.
