Nice pilsener, only thing lacking is the some bubbly carbonation. All else this is pretty close to a German pilsner, spot on, light with the right amount of dry bitter hops to make it linger on the palate..

Pours a gorgeous golden body with a light cloudiness, but still able to be seen through, with a one finger, thick, bubbly white head. Overall impression of appearance is of a very nice Pilsner. Scents of soft, sweet, grainy Pilsner malt with light notes of graham cracker upfront, backed by a medium-light floral, jasmine and clover-like noble hop aroma mingling with spicy noble hop aromas. Overall impression of aroma is of a crisp, clean hop-forward German Pilsner. Flavor begins with floral and spicy noble hop flavors at medium-high levels with moderate bitterness, hops imparting notes of jasmine. Middle continues these flavors with a light grainy Pilsner malt becoming discernible. Finish is dry with notes of floral and spicy noble hops, light grainy Pilsner malt. Aftertaste is dry with notes of floral noble hops continuing. Overall impression of flavor is of an excellent German Pilsner. It is crisp and hop-forward with the right character and balance for the style. Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with high carbonation and a crisp feel. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of the perfect Pilsner. Overall this is an excellent American-brewed example of a German Pilsner. It hits the style perfectly in all respects and showcases the virtues of this underrated style.

Golden brew with some streaming bubbles poured into the tall, narrow Pilsener glass from Four Winds Brewing. A tall pile of suds. Quite sharp and prickly on the tongue, down to the last sip. Light flowery aroma.

Interesting mouthful of flavors with some surprising fruit. There is a melon taste with a touch of pears. Some lemon along with the malty sweetness. Even a little butter. The moderate bitter finish seems like the right balance. This is a thicker and more robust sort of PIls but it's quite flavorful. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Safeway in Anacortes.

Pours a very nice slightly cloudy golden yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick creamy one-finger white head, leaves some very nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, with a nice note of hops, yeasty, slight lemon note. The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, slightly yeasty/peppery, with a nice little pine note. Medium body, with a nice bitter/dry finish. Overall a very tasty brew, very true to style. Recommended.
