Copper color accented with red and gold highlights. The head on the beer is dense and stable with a moderate retention.
Really wonderful balance on the nose with bright citrus and soft pine needles, balanced by a wonderful earthy quality. Rich, slightly sweet malt, bread dough and a gentle herbaceous note come together wonderfully.
The hops hold their own against the malt without over powering things. Warm brown bread and light spice play on the tongue. The flavor lingers with the pine and light resin notes coming in on the finish.
Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. The hops help to push the finish nicely.
Really well balanced and a wonderful example for the American style. The hops are used with great care, both showing just a little bit of flash while maintaining a wonderful balance in the beer.
