Cascade hops are great.
The interesting thing about... well, anything... is that it can induce a wide variety of the same response at either end of its extreme. For example: riotous laughter and ecstatic dancing can be the result of either wonderful, or absolutely horrible music. Gasps at the dinner table? Terrible cuisine, or the best of the chef's.
Mirror Pond is an example of Cascade hops in their laughing, dancing, gasping phase... because they are in beautiful balance. Not blowing you away, not making you wonder, 'what is this? pinapple?'. Although this beer can blow you away in its balance of Maris Otter (rough, rich bread, slightly grainy mouthfeel) backbone streaked by some light-medium crystal (right before it hints at roastiness) and the terrific Cascade bitterness and flavor (yes, citrusy, but actually, remember that pinapple that I hinted at?).
A winner in any season.
