12oz brown with a best by freshness date.

LOOK: Bubbly white lace, tarnished golden colour

SMELL: Cascade hops, fruity, citric rind, mint, nutty grain, mild malt sweetness.

TASTE: Smooth, medium body, semi crisp malt, bready, mild fruit, faint esters, hop bitterness, citric peel, oranges, kiss of pine, finish semi-dry

A great pale ale to be had here, any hop head would be pleased and if you love cascade hops this is your ale! A great snapshot of what an PNW Pale Ale.

A: poured into a nonic, it has a great two finger white head with great lacing and retention. Crystal clear deep golden color with medium carbonation and activity.

S: floral mild hops with very light malt, probably carapils and very very light malt to stay out of the delicate hops' way. Pleasant.

T: faint lemon and grassiness with floral highlights, lavender hand soap, udder cream, bitter papaya.

M: Silky, velvety smooth on initial then smooth, impossibly clean and dry finish.

O: I see why this gets high marks. It embodies many things that are good about gentle APA styles. Unobtrusive malt and yeast, delicate hop bill and much skill in the application of the hopping schedule has produced a very fine APA.

Amber color with a thick one finger off-white head with medium retention.
Fruity aroma with lots of red fruits. Notes of strawberries, honey and peaches.
Flavor of guaraná-papaya, tea bags, malt sweetness and spices. Finishing with pine taking to a very dry aftertaste.
This is a couple of months to best by date, still considering that it felt to me as an APA on the malty side. Mild fruity APA.

12oz. bottle poured into a tumbler glass

A- a nice orange amber with some chill haze. A nice finger of eggshell/light khaki head, and fantastic lacing

S- A lovely multi-faceted hop profile of citrus, pine, and floral components balanced with a nice biscuity malt.

T- Follows the smell perfectly. You can identify it as a Deschutes beer from the yeast they use. Balance is the name of the game here.

M- Medium, with amble carbonation. Dries just a touch on the back, but not IPA levels of dryness.

O- is there a finer APA around? I think not.
