Cheers to Goblinmunkey7 for acquiring this

Consumed 4/8/12

Appearance: Burnt orange, some gold around the edges - decent sized off-white head, keeps a little, foamy ring, leaves streaks of lacing

Smell: Mild and clean - some floral orange and grapefruit - caramel and pale malts, bready, with some grains, dough, and lightly toasted biscuits

Taste: Nicely balanced and mellow - some touches of orange and grapefruit flesh, and a hint of zest and pith - a little earthy - low bitterness, good for the style - malts are very tasty, bready and vaguely biscuity - very dry overall, with a mild sweetness

Mouthfeel: Smooth, nicely carbonated, medium body

Overall: Nearly perfect for the style

This is stupidly drinkable, and I imagine that it is fantastic with food. I would love to drink this all day. But, of course, I can't. I need a private jet so I can get regional beers whenever I feel like it.

it pours a very beautiful golden honey, with some hints of red. The head is very fluffy and is sticking around. Nice lacing.

It smells like sweet fruit and honey. It almost smells like jam!

It's very smooth. Very very little hop bitterness. A nice amount of honey, caramel malts and fruitiness from the hops, and then on the back there is a nice breadiness. It's very pleasing.

Sitting here on a Friday night, watching old Ben Harper, Pearl Jam and others from Austin, as well as old Beastie Boys videos (we lost a good one today) thinking that it's pretty good night for a beer.

Hazy golden-orange with lots of small particles of suspended sediment below and a small amount of white head above.

Though both seem fairly muted to the nose, with the floral hops in balance with sweet malts.

Exceptionally well balanced - can clearly profile both the malts and hops, with them each taking precedence from one drink to the next. The hops are of light citrus and an oddly faint hint of banana. The malts, bready.

Crisp and clean on the tongue, with lingering bitterness.

Outstandingly good interpretation of a pale ale. After drinking lots of IPAs, stouts and other heavy beers, this is compartively light, refreshing and easy.

This one pours a cloudy blonde leading to tan in color the head is a frothy white with very good lacing down the glass.

The nose is pleasant malt with pine and citrus hop notes. A decent nose.

The flavor matches the nose very well. The maltiness is very strong and has a commanding presence without being a fruity beer. The hops do a great job of matching the richness of the malt with a very pleasant pine, caramel, that is quickly dominated by the hops leaving a nice pleasant finish without the bad lingering aftertaste.

The mouthfeel is rich and satisfying. The beer is a little heavy for a pale ale but is more than acceptable and very enjoyable.

I drank this with home cooked boiled live crawfish that were burn you twice spicy and this one goes excellent with spicy. I really like it and will definitely be buying this one again.
