Had on-tap at Deschutes in Portland, OR. Poured a nice clear orange/yellow color with a moderate white head that receded slowly leaving some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma was hoppy (earthy, citrusy, grassy), malty and I smelled a touch of wheat. Taste followed the nose...I really liked the light hop profile of this one. I was surprised at how smooth it was given the amount of hops I tasted, but I think it was just an excellent balance of malts and hops, making it very drinkable/sessionable.

Light-medium in body with moderate carbonation.

Overall, well-balanced and a good representation of the style. Would have again.

I really liked this beer. I found it at a nice little bar that sells craft brews in Richmond, BC (O'Hare's) and finally decided to try it after hearing so much about Deschutes in general and Mirror Pond in particular. I was not disappointed.

This is the sort of awesomeness I've come to expect from a major microbrewery in Oregon - a smoothe, easy-drinking beer with a bit of bite and minor hoppiness and minimal aftertaste. This one is insanely refreshing.

For all the non-hop-bombs (which I love) from Oregon, I would put this beer on a very level playing field with Widner Bros.' Drifter Pale Ale...that one has a bit more bite to it when it comes to hoppiness, and that's about it. Both are excellent and I would recommend to any person that likes the Pale Ale style.

Poured into a pint glass. Light yellow-orange color, although it might have been the lighting at the bar. The color was translucent and not too much head off the pour. Had a good crisp taste, with faint hints of a grainy blend. The first sip was very flavorful, and the strong flavor lasted through the entirety of the drink. I strongly recommend.

Pours a perfect color for a pale ale, nice orange. Almost no head retention.

Aroma is balanced with a good toasty note and slight hop character. I get some cool toffee notes with a touch of dried pineapple

Flavor is where this beer shines. Really balanced with a perfect malt and hop flavors. I love the cracker like malt backbone to this beer. It has a firm bitterness. Hop flavor is pretty low for a pale ale, but it is so so drinkable. Love it

Mouthfeel is medium with a pretty dry finish. Slight lingering green flavors but really nice

I really like this pale ale, you can drink pint after pint of this stuff

Pour a clear, copper color. 5/4 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and decent lacing. Smells of floral hops, hint of pine, sweet malt, hint of citrus hops, and a hint of pale malt. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, slight pale malt, floral hops, slight citrus hops, hint of yeast, and slight citrus (pear?). Overall, good appearance, aroma, feel, and body.
