Pours jet black with a tan head that goes afloat. Warms smells of roasted and toasted malts accompanied by a note of smoke. Appears to be full and inviting.
A nice, chewy stout that is creamy, full-bodied, and is bitterly smooth. (The liquid, alcoholic tootsie roll?) Flavors of espresso, dark chocolate, smoke, and sugar. The sweetness and texture reminds me of making chocolate milk from powder. The bitterness is pleasant, much in the vein of having a shot of espresso.
This is a highly accessible stout. If you appreciate a well-crafted brew, try it...regardless of your care for stouts.

Had on nitro at Draught House on 4/7/14
A-Pours black with a medium sized bubbly tan head. Excellent lacing!
S-The aroma is big on espresso with a healthy balance of chocolate. Roasted malts and licorice are present as well.
T-The taste has some sweetness in it to go along with some bitterness. Flavors of espresso and to a lesser extant chocolate remain strong. Long aftertaste of espresso.
M-Medium bodied, with a thicker texture, with softer carbonation.
O-This one doesn’t do anything to crazy. Its just very solid.
