A-Pours creamy and black. Velvety texture. Head is comprised of a half-inch patty of calm cream. The head lasts forever and laces the whole glass...thanks nitro-tap.

S-A well rounded aroma. A bit lactic but also quite roasty. Dried chocolate powder. Vanilla and hints if char. I am picking up an impressive addition of piney hops. It even smells creamy.

T-The flavor is excellent. Frothy latte with a big shot of espresso. Milk chocolate and vanilla milkshake. Then I get some burnt malt. It finishes with a supremely pleasant green grass hop wave.

M-Nitro-tap. Enough said.

O/D-Superb mouthfeel and just a great non-imperial Stout. Could drink this for days on end; especially when the weather is a bit chilly. Excellent intro into Deschutes.
