This has become one of my favorite porters along side Sam Smith's Taddy Porter, I know ones English and this one is American but they are both amazing and unique.
A- This beer pours an extremely dark brown almost like a coffee with a nice tan head that actually lingers around for a while.
S- It smells of dark chocolate, black coffee and roast with minimal dark fruit smell but maybe just a tad at the end.
T= WOW this tastes as it smells, up front there is a delicious blast of chocolate. This is quickly followed by a nice and slightly bitter coffee taste that surprisingly does not leave an outlandish aftertaste. The roasted toffee flavor gives it an outstanding final touch, making this beer a GREAT PORTER.
M- good on carbonation, but not as silky as i would have liked. Has a somewhat watery consistency, but nothing that can take away from this fantastic beer.
O- This is an amazing beer that is surprisingly drinkable with little to no traces of alcohol. I love this porter and it will continue to be stocked in my refrigerator.

Appearance: Pours an almost totally opaque black, with 2 fingers of thick, foamy tan head. Nice retention & lacing.
Aroma: Roasty, chocolatey, sweet. Interesting it does NOT have that flinty/bloody smell I associate with many darker ales.
Taste: Solid, sweet arrival. Slight tartness with some bittering across mid-palate. Finish is roasty, sweet & lingering. Hints of liquorice.
Mouthfeel: Solidly mid-bodied; firm carbonation. (Less heavy and slick than Founders Porter; heavier than Breckenridge; perhaps comparable to Edmund Fitzgerald, maybe a touch heavier).
Overall: A very well-crafted, sweeter expression of a porter. I WILL be buying this again. Can't wait to do a head-to-head comparison with Edmund Fitzgerald.
