12 fl. ounce bottle - poured into a nonic pint glass.
Appearance: Rich brown-amber body with a rather short foam head. Impressive lacing was left behind.
Smell: Sweet fruit. Toasted grains. Very subtle notes of herbal spices.
Taste: Creamy notes of toasted malts. The hops kick in and bring a modest amount of hoppiness to the table. Complex notes of figs and dates stand out in the malts. Sweet notes of citrus come through the hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Supports the flavors well. A bit more carbonation than a majority of the other Winter Warmers out there. The carbonation really carries the hops. This one is pretty much dry throughout.
Overall: This has been a "must-have" on my list of holiday releases for quite some time. The unique balance of this brew really makes it stand out amongst the other Winter Warmers. Never disappoints.

On tap at the Local Taphouse.
Pours a red colour, bit of haze. Head is off-white, webbed lace but sticks to the glass. Looks nice.
Smells like banana esters, with some dry sweet spice, nutmeg and vanilla. Touch of raisin. Could have more richness and more robustness, but decent.
Taste is chocolatey. Dry cocoa with some toffee, sultanas and some dried orange peel. Not much spice; more fruit and lots of chocolate. Not bad.
Full body, nicely textured. Slightly dry on the back.
Nice beer; have had better spiced Winter seasonals though, generally better because of more spice.
