Poured from a brown 12 oz. long neck bottle into a clear standard pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a very slightly hazy deep ruby amber color with a nice one and a half finger tan foamy head. Fades slowly and leaves nice sticky lacing. Settles to a nice tan frothy cap throughout.
Smell: Nice, smells like warm cinnamon bread and sweet malts. A slight alcohol whiff on the finish, but nothing too overpowering.
Taste: Like it smells, sweet and malty with spices and baked bread flavors. A slight hops bitterness in the middle, but it finishes smooth and semi-dry. A really well balanced winter warmer with a good spiced flavor profile and a good ABV.
Mouth feel: Medium body and good carbonation. Finishes smooth, crisp and semi-dry on the tongue.
Overall: A really nice winter warmer. A perfect beer for the cold and snowy winter night it is in Minnesota tonight. Will easily session a few of these, since I'm in and not driving anywhere tonight. Well done, Deschutes!

Pours a deep amber/ruby color with a thin, tan (almost yellowish) head. Minimal lacing. No noticeable carbonation.
A very sweet with a bit of spice with a tinge of cola. Dark fruit notes, bitter cherries and fig spring to mind. Light brown sugar and molasses and a hint of hazelnut.
Beautifully balanced between bitter and sweet. A rush of slightly tart, dark fruit up front with dates and cherries. Sweetness brought to you by molasses with a bit of nice spicing that I can't seem to put my finger on. Tasty, this one is.
Smooth and super easy to drink. Medium bodied. Fizzy. Sweet finish.
Another fantastic offering from Deschutes. Easy to drink and loaded with character. Definitely worth picking up!
