Jubelale has a lovely red toned copper body capped with a thick foamy head that leaves generous lacing. Candied fruit sweetness dominates the smell, a note of chocolate accompanies it. Flavor is markedly sweet on the front end, but a perfect little hop chaser scrapes the palette clean--paving the way for the slightest alcohol warmth. Mouthfeel is quite dry.
Big, balanced flavor makes Jubelale a fantastic winter brew.

On tap at the Local Taphouse.
Pours a red colour, bit of haze. Head is off-white, webbed lace but sticks to the glass. Looks nice.
Smells like banana esters, with some dry sweet spice, nutmeg and vanilla. Touch of raisin. Could have more richness and more robustness, but decent.
Taste is chocolatey. Dry cocoa with some toffee, sultanas and some dried orange peel. Not much spice; more fruit and lots of chocolate. Not bad.
Full body, nicely textured. Slightly dry on the back.
Nice beer; have had better spiced Winter seasonals though, generally better because of more spice.
