Deep reddish-brown, frothy head.
Bready caramelly notes in the smell, along with a fresh citrus hop note.
Caramel, malt, bread, grapefruit, orange rind, pear, and very subtle spice notes in the finish. Thirst-quenching, in a way.
Smooth rich mouthfeel.
I've got a soft spot for Dechutes. I thought this was great. One of those beers with a big load of malt to lend some backbone to the hops, ala Three Floyds. I could drink the whole 6 of this right now. If they only distributed farther east.

On tap at the Local Taphouse.
Pours a red colour, bit of haze. Head is off-white, webbed lace but sticks to the glass. Looks nice.
Smells like banana esters, with some dry sweet spice, nutmeg and vanilla. Touch of raisin. Could have more richness and more robustness, but decent.
Taste is chocolatey. Dry cocoa with some toffee, sultanas and some dried orange peel. Not much spice; more fruit and lots of chocolate. Not bad.
Full body, nicely textured. Slightly dry on the back.
Nice beer; have had better spiced Winter seasonals though, generally better because of more spice.
