Pours deep dark mahogany with a small foamy top that sticks around, well, as long as the beer will. It does look just like the beer on the label. That never happens.
Smells sweet, fruity and roasty. I get hints of berries, like the fake flavoring but only because of the fruity esters and dark malts.
Tastes like it smells. Sweet and roasty. Little to no hop character. Almost has the esters of a Belgian, but they are held back enough that it builds to this beers character.
Mouthfeel is a bit undercarbonated, sweetness sits in your mouth after you sit but it doesn't feel heavy.
Great beer. Not overly hopped and super strong like other winter warmers I've tried. I liked it a lot and will probably buy at least one more six pack.

On tap at the Local Taphouse.
Pours a red colour, bit of haze. Head is off-white, webbed lace but sticks to the glass. Looks nice.
Smells like banana esters, with some dry sweet spice, nutmeg and vanilla. Touch of raisin. Could have more richness and more robustness, but decent.
Taste is chocolatey. Dry cocoa with some toffee, sultanas and some dried orange peel. Not much spice; more fruit and lots of chocolate. Not bad.
Full body, nicely textured. Slightly dry on the back.
Nice beer; have had better spiced Winter seasonals though, generally better because of more spice.
