Poured a dark reddish brown with a tan head, that left lacing. Aroma of caramel malts, fruit, and piney hops. Flavors include roasted malts, caramel and chocolate. Very nicely balanced with some spicy and piney hops. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. It also had a somewhat creamy mouth feel.
Really Good! I want this again. This is a winter seasonal standout. Not sure how to describe it, but it just tastes like the holidays... Make sure you try it this winter! You won't be disappointed.

On tap at the Local Taphouse.
Pours a red colour, bit of haze. Head is off-white, webbed lace but sticks to the glass. Looks nice.
Smells like banana esters, with some dry sweet spice, nutmeg and vanilla. Touch of raisin. Could have more richness and more robustness, but decent.
Taste is chocolatey. Dry cocoa with some toffee, sultanas and some dried orange peel. Not much spice; more fruit and lots of chocolate. Not bad.
Full body, nicely textured. Slightly dry on the back.
Nice beer; have had better spiced Winter seasonals though, generally better because of more spice.
