Wow. This is good. I've had this in bottles and on nitro-tap. Really tasty either way. Malty with enough hop presence to add some complexity. Terrific winter brew.

Not very impressed as a winter warmer. Not very warming at 5%. Was served on nitro which aided mouthfeel but not anything special

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass

A - Dark cherry stain color with a frothy cafe-colored head.

S - Raisins, orange spice, vanilla, and brown sugar.

T - Plum, candi sugar, maple, and vanilla hit the tongue initially. Then chocolate and Christmas cake malt. Finish is sweet and ever so slightly bitter with lingering citrus notes.

M - Slightly syrupy (which is pleasant for a Yuletide brew) with a medium carbonation.

O - A great Christmas time beer. Pleasantly warming without cloying spices or flavors. Would go great with Christmas ham.

Poured from a bottle with a best by date of 5/17/15; into a pint glass.
Appearance - a cloudy auburn with noticeable sediment against the light. A thin, beige head that leaves nice, sticky lacing!
Smell - sweet candy malts and spice.
Taste - sweet candy and herbal spices.
Feel - a nice blend of spice and sweetness with a great bitter finish!
Overall - a nice holiday brew that warms on a cold night and at a great price!

Bottle (best by 5/4/15) poured into a mug.

A- A gentle pour still creates a huge tan head that requires stopping short and a second pour. The body was dark brown with crimson edges. The head never drops below 1-finger and leaves foamy rings.

S- Caramel and brown sugar are maybe toffee-esqe. Slightly charred brown sugar and grains. Some spice and citrus comes on later.

T- Much as the aroma suggests, a mix of sweet and char. Robust. Very toffee-like with some spice and citrus.

M- Medium body. Sips are through a foamy head. Moderate carbonation.

O- Very wintry and robust. One and done, but very flavorful for the holidays. Drank on its own, but I could see it as a great food pairing for a rich Christmas dinner.
