"Best by 12/27/15"; drank 10/12/15 @ the Yarchives.

See-through amber appearance.

A rough pour yielded a big eggnog head; a frothy curtain of lace.

Melon, mango & a hint of soap in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Spent wheat, faint melon & hints of macro lager flavors up front; bitter finish. The nose promised greatness, but this veered towards a Budweiser/IPA hybrid. No thanks.

From notes taken 07/18/17:

Rich orange amber, hazy and fleck-filled, looks gelatinous. Chunky and fluffy head of faded tan. Throughout, aroma suggestive of bourbon or butter rum, strongest toward the start. Later, more standard grains and herbal/earthy hops. Very sweet pale ale, lots of caramel, mild fruitiness. But a perfect balance with the hops, palate following aroma, with the mildest soapiness hinging on a stronger earthy/peppery quality, and yet all subdued in the sweetness. Exceptional! Medium to full in body, syrupy, mild but abundant tingly carbonation.
