12oz bottle into a pint glass
A: Pours a deep amber color, a small off white head emerges from the body of this beer, held to the light the beer becomes a bright amber color, clear body which allows for one to see the carbonation bubbling up to the top of the beer.
S: Red grapefruit citrus nose with some sweet malty undertones.
T: Hop bitterness and grapefruit citrus are the front flavors, the bitterness doesn't linger around in the finish, some malty flavors emerge as the beer warms and the session goes longer.
M: Good carbonation and body, slight oily texture coasts the tongue and the mouth as the beer is consumed.
D: Very drinkable beer from Deschutes (as are most of their beers), goes down very easy and would be an excellent beer to relax with after a long day.
