Appearance on this one is very impressive. A nice deep burnt orange amber color with a full head that diminishes but is present almost the whole way down. Tight spiderweb lacing holds on to the glass throughout the duration of this one.
Smell isn't too powerful but what is there does smell good. Sticky and sweet, the hops and caramel malts are most noticeable. Some burnt aromas are present as well. Citrusy fruits are also present of course.
This beer tastes a little stronger than it smells, most of the same aromas are present while drinking. The burnt taste is slightly present towards the middle to end and is a little undesirable imo. However the rest of this character profile makes up for it. I'm really enjoying the balance of sweet malt and bitter/citrusy hops.
Mouthfeel on this beer is near perfect. It is medium to full, very smooth and very even the entire way down.
Drinkability is decent on this one. I would definitely be able to drink a few more (if only I had easy access to Deschutes).

I really enjoyed this IPA. Descheutes Never let's me down with their beer. It has a nice honey golden color. Smell is of a hoppy nature but not overbearingly hoppy. I like my beers super hoppy which would make this one perfect for a none Double IPA sipper. Taste is nice when it hits the palate. Little floral note with a nice amount of bitterness. Smooth going down without the syrupy feel you get from some IPA's. Throughly enjoyed this beer and will definitely drink again!

On tap at the Local Taphouse.
Pours a red colour, head is white. Mild lace but decent on the edge. Nice.
Smells hoppy and pleasant. Touch of rubber, but nice citrus and resin. Mild, crisp. Touch of pine needle and dish detergent. Nice.
Taste is stodgier than expected, quite yeasty on the mid and back with quite a full body. Bit of pine and mild sherbet but yeah, yeasty and chalky. Not quite as much hop cleanliness as I may have expected on the back.
Slight tingle on the back. OK feel.
Not quite as bitter as it could have been, feels a little heavy as well.
