I'll tell you what's an inversion: Ladies driving cars! Am I rite or what fellas?!?

Smells thick. Hoppy, but the malt and yeast are the most salient, like you're smelling raw pizza dough. (is that the inversive element, here?).

Mouthwise, the hops trends towards your more rounded, fruiter fruits--apricots instead of orange--and while they're super flavorful they're not all that tonguerapey, which makes it so the caramel malt seems a lot bigger than what you'd normally expect from an IPA. First sip, I didn't like it too much. Though it tasted a little too uppity, little too British. Halfway through, I am goddamn amazed more IPAs don't taste like this.

This is a long time standby IPA for me. I can usually find it on sale and will always buy it over any other grocery store beer. I bought a horse keg of it last year and enjoyed that for a while.

Appearance: Nice golden orange non filtered with a nice head
Smell: Nice Cascades dry hopped aroma
taste: Nice blend of bittering and dry hops with enough malt to balance it.
mouth feel: decent mouth feel, not a DIPA but darn good for a SIPA!

Pours a cloudy, amber color. 5/4 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of sweet malt, slight earthy malt, citrus, piny hops, and slight alcohol. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of piny hops, sweet malt, slight alcohol, and a hint of citrus. Overall, good appearance, aroma, blend, and feel.

Nice balanced IPA. Obtained from Beer Trek. Pours a hazy coppery/orange color with a small white head. Head retention is good, thick bands of lacing. Mild hops aroma, nothing special.

Taste is good. Robust caramel malts up front, balanced out by fairly strong citrus hops in the finish. Nice balance, both the malts and hops are pronounced.

Mouthfeel is crisp, sweetness/bitterness ration is just right. There is a little oiliness as well.

Well crafted IPA. Not a hop bomb, but a good refreshing IPA.
